I've seen the abuse they can take,a good friend owns nothing but subaru. If they hold up to his abuse, they gotta be good. 380k is serious mileage. 1
Joe Handley Posted October 1 Posted October 1 Many, MANY, moons ago I worked for a small Toys R Us for about 5 years and still miss the stores and have been pulling for their recovery as they have been trying. They just opened a new, smallish store in a “premium” outlet mall near me so we went over this past Saturday to check it out with my Dad, Sister, BiL, and Niece who was born 2 years after TRU closed all of it’s US stores. It’s not like I worked at but was neat to see. Didn’t buy anything there that day as I needed new shoes and bought a couple pairs at the nearby Nike store, but one pair wouldn’t fit, so I took that pair back tonight. Since that new TRU was between the Nike Store and where I parked, I wandered back through there and found something I was looking for before we left for home Saturday and couldn’t find………. A Geoffrey the Giraffe FunkoPOP😁 Also paid the extra buck for that bag too…….
Ace-Garageguy Posted October 1 Posted October 1 (edited) OEM dash top for the Neon came in today. Almost perfect, no embrittlement (the one in the car broke up into chunks when I took it out). NOTE: This is NOT some cheap aftermarket cover or overlay. It's the real OEM assembly. Wrong color, but that's what they make flexible interior dye for...as soon as I pull a mold from it so I can make more if/when necessary. They ain't cheap. RSchnell Posted October 11 Posted October 11 Flew in from Detroit late last night after having spent 8 days in Michigan. A few Ford wares found their way home. This is a small sampling of what I bought while on my trip. 7
OldTrucker Posted October 31 Posted October 31 Had to detour around the block and up the alley to the lot because comcast had the end by the lot blocked. A guy was hauling stuff to the alley from a vacant house and I saw the headstock sticking out of a barrel. I asked the guy about it and he said it just junk left by a tenant over a year ago. I asked if I could take it and he pulled it out and said "would you give 10 for it so I bought it. Was filthy. Cleaned it up put a string where one was missing, tuned it and it sounds better than my Squire Strat Afinity does! Super low action too! Never seen a Cort with that style headstock before? 5

ewetwo Posted November 4 Posted November 4 I picked this up today for $15.00 but 50% off. $7.50. Never been opened. These are the best because they have an aluminum heating plate. They don't rust like the new ones do.
stavanzer Posted Wednesday at 02:05 AM Posted Wednesday at 02:05 AM I an antique store today. Bought a copy of Pat Ganahl's "Lost Hot Rods" book. In the book was the letter sending this copy as a freebee for review to a local car magazine. So, it has a bit of provenance. Paid $20.00, which is line with most listings. But, the local connection, makes it worth a bit more to me. Now to get time to read it! https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1934709220?ie=UTF8&tag=kustomrama-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=1934709220
