Mopar - D Posted February 1, 2015 Author Posted February 1, 2015 Thanks Clayton Worked on the interior and painted the trim around the front windshield.
gatorincebu Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 That is looking so good! i like the orange . And you scratch building is pretty impressive. Be Well Gator

kilrathy10 Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 Yes, Sir.....This looks great.....Excellent work on the whole setup.....This can only get better as the days go by.....Beautiful job.....
mustang1989 Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 Thanks Gator. I'm working on the connections between the truck and trailer now. I'm looking forward to that part too. If it turns out half as good as the rest of the rig it'll be a smashing hit!!
Mopar - D Posted February 7, 2015 Author Posted February 7, 2015 (edited) The seams on the fuel tanks have been bugging me so I have reworked them. Edited February 7, 2015 by Mopar - D
Old Buckaroo Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 I just cant get enough of this old Dodge cracker box. Every update just gets better ! Yeah - I think I am going to order myself a cab
Mopar - D Posted February 7, 2015 Author Posted February 7, 2015 Thanks Sean, this is my 2nd one to build and I have 2 more projects that will need the sleeper cab so I will be ordering 2 more in the future. I worked on the trailer connections today. To make it easier to move the truck and trailer around I made a quick disconnection for all the connections. Seeing that from the reference pictures the hoses all run under a plate on the trailer I made it so I can remove it and also made a plate to go on the back of the truck as well. Check it and let me know if it looks right. Thanks
RickRollerLT1 Posted February 8, 2015 Posted February 8, 2015 Is that Mitsubishi kit you got the trailer from full detail or a dull curbside? Never seen it before and I was just curious. BTW, awesome work! Cant wait to show my Dad (who is into trucks BTW).
Mopar - D Posted February 8, 2015 Author Posted February 8, 2015 Richard it's from the Mitsubishi kit and yes itis a fully detailed kit. Thanks for the comment.
Mopar - D Posted February 8, 2015 Author Posted February 8, 2015 In double checking the trailer spare tire I found that it needed to be moved out some to get the clearence I need to get the cars pass it. I cut the tire support off and moved it flush with the out side trailer frame. I also re-engineered the trailer support legs by moving them to where the front of the trailer is now and how I've seen them in pictures. I'm still up in the air about adding hydraulic hoses to the cylinders.
kilrathy10 Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 This is, truly, an exiting build.....The trailer connection is wonderful and I was thinking you might want to rethink the spare tire placement, and you did.....Great job throughout....Everything is coming out beautifully.....
Tesla Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 This build is nothing short of amazing! Great work Dan
gotnitro? Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 Awesome work Dan! Everytime I look, some new detail jumps out...very cool
Mopar - D Posted February 10, 2015 Author Posted February 10, 2015 Thanks Jeff I've added the lights on the trailer now and for now it's done unles I think of something else to add to it lol! JT thanks it's getting close now working on installing the glass in the cab now. Thanks Dennis.
Rigzndiesel Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 Dan, This is so awesome! That stinger for the fifth wheel is done up so nicely. I enjoy popping in for an update! Can't wait to see what's next! Jeff
Mopar - D Posted February 10, 2015 Author Posted February 10, 2015 Thanks Jeff just some small details left to go on. I don't think I'm going to add the hydrilic hoses I don't have details on how the older haulers were set up with them. I believe that he new trailers use a newer style.
DumpyDan Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 Wow, that is a beautiful build. Would love to see this in person, great job.
Mopar - D Posted February 11, 2015 Author Posted February 11, 2015 Thanks Dan, I'm planning to take it to the model Mania show the end of April the weather is nice here that time of the year to.
