Sixties Sam Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 Here are my seven builds for 2014. Last year I did 17. Lots of other things going on this year. There is an army Jeep, a 58 Edsel prepainted kit, a 59 Ford Skyliner (tough build), a 49 Merc wagon, a 60 Ranchero with a resin six engine, and a Willys COE car hauler with a Kurtis midget racer. No super detailing or super shiny paint, just basic models that I liked building. I hope you guys liked them too!
slusher Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 Great builds Sam. I don't remember the jeep. I always enjoy seeing your builds...
TooOld Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 For being just basic models they all look pretty darned good !
peekay Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 The Mercury looks great in that eggshell colour.
bbowser Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 That COE with the Midget is too cool! Great collection.
rmvw guy Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Some real beautys in here Sam. Love your work.
StevenGuthmiller Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Nice stuff Sam! I really like the '49 woody! The color is "so right", & I'm still in awe of the Revell '59 Ford! One kit that I've had several of in my stash for years but never felt confident enough to tackle. Nice stuff! Steve
Sixties Sam Posted December 30, 2014 Author Posted December 30, 2014 Steve, the 59 Ford was a bit tedious to build, but not as bad as some think. The multi-piece body was not a problem for me, but the top mechanism took a lot of fiddling to make it fit and work. If you look close at the photos above you can see that the top still doesn't quite fit against the windshield frame like it should. At some point I said "close enough" and put it on the shelf! Sam
Ramfins59 Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Great looking models Sam. I love the Merc Woody.

Sam Well, regardless, you did a great job! Those multi-piece bodies just make me cringe a little! Steve
bobthehobbyguy Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 All nice. Like the Cab over the most.
Mopar - D Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Great build and I'm with the rest the on the car hauler.
Sixties Sam Posted December 30, 2014 Author Posted December 30, 2014 Thanks for all the nice words, guys! I posted the Willys COE car hauler in the under glass pickup & light trucks area of this forum. Check it out if you want more info about it. Sam
