Hi,

i finished this some weeks ago
wanted to show it here also

it is the new Revell of Germany Golf
and i build it quite out of box
i added front and rear foglights, exhaust and some details in the interieur
like Tennisracket, contemporary Vinyl-Records and ball shaped music speakers, road atlas
the guy is... the typical driver of this type of cars in the late 70s and early 80s
so don't not conclude from him to me pleeze :P

hope ya like it

Sometimes, we post a picture of a real car we are depicting as a model, i really tought it was the case here...

Your VW look real, it mistaken me..

Very nice looking model!

Good job...

thanks to all for the kind words

Most impressive Axel, love the typical 80s music collection there, I'm a big fan of 'Kraftwerk' ;)B)

you have a good taste! i love them and most electronic music from the 80s B)

How did you get the tires to look so real?

i sanded the tires all around slightly with 400 grit and additional drybrush the tread with a medium grey, pretty easy to do ;)

One: The forced perspective of your pictures really does make it look real. Bravo

Two: As Ray pointed out, awesome choice of music in the back seat. very fitting for this rig. And the German techno on top is a nice nod.

Three: A pack of cigarettes! How?!

Very nice work.

Wow - that's pretty realistic!

My only criticism is where's the rust!? ?

My wife comes from a long line of VW owners and I swear that they all have rust from the assembly line.

Again, good work!

This build subject is not exactly my style or something that I usually might post a comment, but.... WOW!!! This is incredible! When looking at the pics I thought it was a real car at first, until I realized that it has to be a model. Really nice and clean work, smooth paint job and very clean job painting the rubber trim on that body. It has always been very tricky for me (Probably because I rarely build so new cars that I don't practise it often). Good job in the interior as well, those little details finish it off.

That is fantastic work, I knew this kit would be a good one, I love the added detail with the LP's and JPS cigarette packet.

Very impressive!.
