Greg Pugh Posted February 8, 2015 Posted February 8, 2015 Larry Watson is my favorite painter/customizer so this car was done in his style. I started on this car a little over four years ago and I finally finished it up last night! It's the old Monogram kit. The front bumper had holes in it to install bumper guards. Those were eliminated and the bumper was rechromed. Seventy one holes were drilled into the grill and seventy one pin heads were installed to replicate grill buttons. The interior is box stock with the exception of foil and flocking. The car was dropped by way of scratch-built spindles, ball-point pen coil springs, dremel and Pabst Blue Ribbon. This one was a lot of fun but it also tested my patience along the way. I'm very happy to have this one wrapped up.
Albie D Posted February 8, 2015 Posted February 8, 2015 Love me some Watson style kustom! Sweet Paint!

58 Impala Posted February 8, 2015 Posted February 8, 2015 Wow, beautiful job. Thats hard enough to do on a 1:1 Tbird let alone in 1:25.
Jantrix Posted February 8, 2015 Posted February 8, 2015 That is VERY pretty. Would have loved some larger photos.

Maindrian Pace Posted February 8, 2015 Posted February 8, 2015 Perfect! The Watson square bird series were some of my favorites too. One request: a couple of outdoor photos with natural light. -MJS
