Atmobil Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 That reminds of the Corvorado in Live and Let Die: http://imcdb.org/vehicle_17906-Chevrolet-Corvette--Corvorado-.html
The70judgeman Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 (edited) I like the '63 Series 62 Convertibles with the wide whites and laced(wire) wheels. Very classy. Edited February 18, 2015 by The70judgeman
keyser Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 So many. 61-62's with skegs, 49 with early fins and OHV, Broughams (59-60 faves), all the deVille convertibles pre-'70. Early Seville 75-79 (not lumpy trunk thing), and 83-5 Eldo Convertibles
Roncla Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 Early 60s Cadillacs as in the movie Tin Men. Its a crying shame to see the treatment dished out to the Cadillacs in that film.
lordairgtar Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 I used to own two caddies. A 73 Eldo rag top and a 78 Sedan DeVille.
StevenGuthmiller Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 I used to own two caddies. A 73 Eldo rag top and a 78 Sedan DeVille. I had a Coral & Black 1958 62 series coupe for a while. Steve
Jon Haigwood Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 Not really a Caddy fan but a red 57 Convert like this one brings back great memory's. When I was 14 back in 1964 I traveled with my Dad thru parts of America. We drove a Caddy like this from Chicago to somewhere in Washington state for a car dealer. This Road trip is one of my best memory of good times with Dad
7000in5th Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 (edited) My favorites are the Cunningham 1950 Le Mans Cadillacs: Yes, they are both Cadillacs, the Series 61 hardtop is a column shift 3-speed. The French called the custom body one 'Le Monstre'. Wonder why? ; ^ ) Edited February 17, 2015 by 7000in5th
Jon Cole Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 For me, it would be a toss-up between the '59, or the '60. I think the '60 is more elegant.
StevenGuthmiller Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 (edited) For me, it would be a toss-up between the '59, or the '60. I think the '60 is more elegant. I agree! between the '59 & the '60, the '60 looked much cleaner! Less cluttered I guess you could say. I'm a little surprised Monogram never did a '60 out of the '59 kit. I for one would love to have one! Hey....I think I have a bottle of that paint color! It's a '59 color, but it's called "Wood Rose". Steve Edited February 18, 2015 by StevenGuthmiller
Petetrucker07 Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 (edited) Is there a kit of this? Edited February 18, 2015 by Petetrucker07
StevenGuthmiller Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 (edited) Is there a kit of a 62? Johan did an annual of the '62 Cadillac Fleetwood 4 door hardtop. That's the only one I know of. Modelhaus has a 1961 62 series coupe done from the Johan '61 Fleetwood. Here's a shot of a '62 promo for sale on ebay at the moment. Steve Edited February 18, 2015 by StevenGuthmiller
Harold Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 I agree! I'll take mine in black. what he said.
StevenGuthmiller Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 Is there a kit of this? This is as close as you will get. This is a built up of a Modelhaus '61 coupe. No, I didn't build this. I wish I had!! Steve
Maindrian Pace Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 I like these two the best: '62 4 window sedan DeVille 1958 Eldorado Brougham
Tom Geiger Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 I agree! between the '59 & the '60, the '60 looked much cleaner! Less cluttered I guess you could say. I'm a little surprised Monogram never did a '60 out of the '59 kit. Same with the difference between the '59 & '60 Buicks. I'm partial since I owned a 1:1 1960 Buick for years. I do like the '60 Caddy and Buick better than the '59s, maybe partly for the fact that they're not as common. '59 Caddy especially has had too much exposure!
thatz4u Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 I always liked Johnny Cash's Caddy of various years.......
StevenGuthmiller Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 Same with the difference between the '59 & '60 Buicks. I'm partial since I owned a 1:1 1960 Buick for years. I do like the '60 Caddy and Buick better than the '59s, maybe partly for the fact that they're not as common. '59 Caddy especially has had too much exposure! I liked the '60 Pontiac & Olds much better than the '59s as well, for the same reason. Much simpler, less "embellished" designs. The '60 Bonneville is one of my all time favorite GM cars, & the competition between the '59 & '60 Olds isn't even close in my opinion. I've always thought the '59 Olds was one of the uglier GM cars. Steve
Chuck Kourouklis Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 I agree! I'll take mine in black. This. This this this, OH THIS. There's a clean Ivory/Saddle '69 vinyl-top up for sale at the local grocer, looks close enough I gotta fight the fever every time I see it.
Mr.Zombie Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 I liked mine alot... Still have a Jo-Han Promo of it that waits for painting it like that one... But if I was to buy any Cadillac right now, I'd go for this: Let's face it, the fins just do it. And it will have to be a Sedan, I can't stand the roofline of the coupe.
om617 Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 Since the 60 was brought up,here is a nice custom,in my eyes that is
