Jim Whalen Posted February 16, 2015 Author Posted February 16, 2015 Thanks guys - it took a few goes to get the paint to where I wanted it but I am pleased that I stuck with it. The compliments are very much appreciated.
thatz4u Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 Dr. James, I must say that this is a very nice 40 Coupe, it looks almost real.
doomcrew Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 Really nice looking 40 and love the paint, great colour. Hope to see it for real soon. Steve
tim boyd Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 (edited) Sharp! Maybe I need to dig that kit out and give it another look myself. TIM PS - kudos on your choice of engine bitbashing too! TB Edited February 17, 2015 by tim boyd
Jim Whalen Posted February 17, 2015 Author Posted February 17, 2015 Hi, Thanks for the replies everyone! Tim - I am honoured that you like my model, I like your work and articles very much indeed. Regarding the engine, I often think about how I would like a 1:1 street rod to be and a dual carb small block Ford engine is a swoopy '40 coupe sounds like a nice car to have in the garage!
slusher Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 Super sharp model. Beautiful color and very clean...
