That type of traction bar was used in several of the AMT first-gen funny cars from 1967. Impossible to say exactly which one that particular one came from, unless there's a difference in the holes that I've never noticed.

Thanks. I checked it against the Rat Packer Chevy II and it looks like a match.

I have a few bucket seats, too, which look they are from AMT or MPC second gen Camaro (or maybe Vega for the slightly small white ones?), two of which I think I've ID'd by the plastic color alone:

Green seat from MPC Street Savage Camaro, and blue seat from MPC Night Prowler Camaro, white seats look like MPC '74 Camaro?

The engine half looks like it may be the caddy engine from the amt 59 elcamino kit. And the log manifold might be the amt 53 ford truck. Not 100% on either of those and currently at the in laws so cant check my stash to be sure.

Yep, that's it. I assumed JO-HAN based on the "CADDY" cast in the inside of the part, but now I see the JO-HAN lettering is larger, too. -_-

That looks like it. I think the DeSoto valve cover is form that kit, too, now that I look at the instruction sheet.

White seat is from the AMT mid 70s Camaro. Probably the AHC t-top version, going by the age of the other 2 seats. It was issued around the same time.

This is fun, it should be an ongoing game. "Name that Part"

The green seat is MPC; "Street Savage" Camaro (1980?).  Blue one is from the MPC '81 Turbo Z issue Camaro.  The two-piece seats are likely AMT Camaro.  The 1:1 Camaro seats were based on the Vega bucket seat but were wider.  All of the MPC stock Vega kits had a one-piece interior bucket (seats molded in as a unit) so the only way to get the narrower Vega seat would be to cut them out of an interior.

That crate is from the IMC (Lindberg) Little Red Wagon kit.  You're supposed to put the leftover engine in it.

I think this is a transmission pan for a GM TH-350 automatic, but it's odd in that it has a small section of the trans housing molded to the backside (top, when installed), something I've never seen before. The off white plastic looks like vintage AMT or MPC plastic, and there are two locating holes on the backside, where the top of the pan meets the bottom of the transmission:

It's from MPC's 1976-1978 AMC Pacer X kits. If memory serves, AMC was using Chrysler automatics at that time.

I may have asked about a few of these previously, but maybe not. Four dashboards first:

  1. 1/24 Monogram '69 GTO The Judge?
  2. ?
  3. MPC '69 Plymouth Barracuda?
  4. MPC '70-'78 Pontiac Firebird?

Three center consoles:

  1. ?
  2. JO-HAN AMC '64 & '65 Rambler
  3. AMT '6? Impala???

Console #2 does appears to be found in the '64 & '65 (and possibly up to '66) JO-HAN AMC Rambler kits:

Console #3 looks like the JO-HAN '66 Marlin center console?: *edit* I don't think so, after viewing an eBay listing. The Marlin appears to use the same console as #2, with twin sticks.

Anybody recognize this two-piece transaxle(?)? Appears to be 1/25 scale, for a smaller car, but I am fairly confident I have ruled out the MPC Pontiac Fiero 4-cylinder, AMT VW Scirocco, MPC Dodge Daytona, and MPC Chevy Cavalier kits...maybe Revell Ford Escort?

Here’s something I found while sorting through the parts box...

Looks like a custom grille to something... can anyone ID?  Thanks!

Note- used part that someone nicely painted the black sections

Tom, I think that is the custom grille from the MPC 1970 Pontiac Bonneville Open Sportster, the one that was recently reissued.

#1 is from an AMT '64 Pontiac Tempest annual.

I don't believe so?

My AMT '64 Tempest/LeMans has the console detail molded into the tub.

No separate chrome piece.

Maybe the Monogram '64 GTO?

I don't have a '64 Lemans convertible, but the GTO  does have that chrome console piece; it is supposed to be mounted on top of the molded-in console.

Then I suppose that the LeMans might also have it......but I don't. :P
