Nice detail work on the tires so far Joe. And I like how your chassis is looking so far. One of these days I got to get one of my truck kits out and build it. might not be till this Fall though LOL, I got way to much on my plate with the nova builds and all the honey do lists.

Looking great Joe. The chassis is sitting nice and plumb. So much measuring to do once you throw the instructions away hey? :D

It's been a couple of days since my last update but I have been working a little here and there on it in the way of the back edges( which are separate pieces) and the rear faces of the wheels. I've also been working on the rear shocks , which I finally got the lower mounting points/ rings figured out and little things here and there until my linkage and bolts/nuts come in the mail. Odds are that I'll start back up on the engine again until that stuff makes it in because I need to run all my brake lines and fuel lines before I install the wheels and tires as well as mount the master cylinder/ brake booster and run the vacuum line for that to up front. There is definitely an order to building this thing that's for sure.

Then there's yesterday where I had to put my little doggy Sweet Pea down after 17 years of her being my little pal. I didn't even hit the bench this morning. In short, the little dog had just lost her mind. She was blind, deaf and lost her good friend Scooter who I had to put down 6 months ago. She's a good ol' girl and she'll be missed.

Sorry about your dog Joe. i know how you feel i put my dog down due to her hip and leg, she could no longer get up. I lost my indoor cat with the pet food thing in 07. They become family members and it hurts. Hang in there. Sometimes the right thing to do is soo hard...

Thanks fellas I appreciate the kind words here. I got up this morning and since I'm still lacking all of my necessaries for the brake lines and linkage I figured I would resume progress on the motor. I got the R/H bank of spark plugs all wired up. Still gotta do the coil wire but that aint nuthin'.....

Thanks Dan. I spotted a couple of areas that need touching up thanks to these Macro pics. Hopefully I can make some real progress on this sucker. Gotta have it ready for the Austin show in October you know.emotion-5.gif

Evening Joe, sorry to hear about you dog my friend. I have a little long haired chihuahua named Tina Jean, that I gor from my sister. She's about 9 or 10 now and has been a big comfort to me through many a rough time. I know the day will come when she wont be with me anymore, and I dread that day. I had a cat that was her best friend named scooter and he passed away about 2 years ago. The vet couldn't tell why without doing a autopsy and we elected not to have one, but we suspect he got poisioned somehow. It hits hard when you loose a pet that becomes part of the family, but hang in their buddy. Your engine work is coming along nicely. I really like the way you made your plugwire boots.

Hi Joe, I thought I'd offer a suggestion. I've found that red styrene likes to bleed through paint. Shooting a primer coat of flat black prevents this. Good luck with your build. It's looking pretty clean.

Jim: Thanks man! Yeah she was a real pain in the neck to take care of in the last few months but I tried to hang in there. Finally I came to the realization that I was only keeping her around because of me instead of focusing on how miserable she was. It was like after February she just started down a steep decline in the mental health department. I really appreciate your thoughts on that matter. Hopefully you have some good years left with yours that you have now. On the engine, the plug wire boots are wire insulation from the next gauge up in wire size cut and painted.

Greg: Thanks man! There's an IPMS show in Austin on 10 October of this year. Gotta git in gear on this thing!!!icon_outtahere.gif

Chip: Thank you sir. I don't have any red styrene on the engine but I do have red wire insulation for the boots. I just didn't get enough coverage with the black on them. I took care of that this morning after I installed the coil wire.

Was that on the Unfinished table Tim?

See this is what happens when you don't read the instructions provided. The poor dude couldn't figure out how to finish his assembly. Oh well, better luck next time.

sorry to hear about your pooch, it's always a tough thing to lose a pet.....not really a pet, a family member really.
