Ace, Check it out in the WIP section.

Thanks, all, I will figure out the hood, and maybe smooth out the paint- looks worse in the photos than up close and personal.

Gorgeous build!

I'm interested in the AMT 3 in 1 boat kit. First model I ever built, in 1959. PM me if still available, and what you might like in trade.

Finally finished! After looking at the photos, I noticed the hood is not sitting quite right. Anyone else have this problem, and is there a fix? Included a comparison shot with a stock 39 I picked up at a flea market. Final touch- pulling a teardrop trailer!

Not dead yet- but I am stripping paint for the second time after a less than successful application of chrome pen.

Looks ready to go to the dry lakes and get top time! Great build! -
You are not alone with having paint issues- I have a 1962 GT Hawk which may have to be stripped after a less than stellar application of chrome pen.

How about another coat of primer, some sanding, and a real coat of blue? This project is too nice to give up on it! Model on!

Dave, I received in the mail a subscription renewal notice with notification of the increase, also that I will have to obtain issues #222 and #223 through alternative sources .Please confirm with a PM that my subscription was renewed by credit card. If I owe more because of the price increase, let me know and I will send the difference.

I use clear gloss cote for attaching small exterior parts- just need to support them long enough for the lacquer to tack up.
