A few years ago I thought one of my R/C battery chargers and 2 of my larger LiPo batteries had died, but after Dad bought his E-Revo 2.0 it had the same charger as the one that had died. After messing around to get that to work, I decided to get that old one out and try it…….and it worked! After that I tried the two batteries that I thought were dead and those worked too! I had intended to send them in to Traxxas for a trade in and it turns out that wasn’t needed!

Finally got my Traxxas E-Revo put back together last night, last ran nearly 5 years ago and has been in pieces for 4 years. Upgraded to their new 6s brushless system that went into it’s successors as well as a bunch of parts from the 2nd Gen truck. Then we were able to find Dad a 2nd Gen truck off eBay for half what I sent resurrecting mine and it is a BEAST with the higher voltage batteries that were included in the box! I was only running half throttle here and was afraid to try full throttle, put in training mode for Dad almost immediately.

What did you see on the road today?

Haven’t seen it in years, but there used to be a mid 90’s Escort Wagon around here that had an Excursion badge on the hatch and a gigantic clamp on tail pipe extension. -

It definitely has the right stance for one of those! -

Yeah, between these and GM’s new EV SUVs, I’m not sure if the roads over there are big enough. They’re all massive. -

Who all knows of the Chicago Cutlass?
Joe Handley replied to Sledsel's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I’m astounded that it’s still solid enough to not fall out of it as you’re sitting down into it! -
Flame painting origins?
Joe Handley replied to Earl Marischal's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Thought I read somewhere that it was inspired by a car that had no hood sides running at a lake bed and had an engine failure. There were flames coming off the engine and down the sides of the body, which fave somebody the idea. -
I’m looking forward to this one!

I’m beginning to think that is a good idea in general, but especially with some of the large, high powered, and heavy vehicles, be it internal combustion or EV. Saw a video about the new Escalade IQ, it’s a full sized SUV that weighs 8600lbs, can reach 60mph in under 5 seconds, and is so large that it’s 24” rims don’t look cartoonishly big on it. Make me a bit nervous to be around one of those or the new Charger EV (5600lbs) and not knowing what kind of driver is behind the wheels of vehicles like that……especially if I’m a pedestrian or I get a bicycle and start riding again.
