Peter Lombardo
What a beautiful clean build, the color and photography is impeccable...great job.....if I may make one note.......in the future, try and get the "raised white letters" on the tires a little closer to the center of the tire......these are a bit too far out to the tread........but other than that, man, you have a great Charger there. Back in 1969 my real good friend had that car, just a little lighter blue metallic with the black interior and vinyl roof......yours brings back memories. I have one in the box that I plan to build like the one I remember.
sjordan2
I thought I would NEVER want to see another Dodge Charger model again, but this is superb. Just the radio antenna shows such an incredible amount of attention to detail. Bravo.

Monty
Another phenomenal build from Yuri? I'll buy tickets to that show any day of the year! What else can ya say? Fantastic work again! Gotta ask: 1) What kind of paint did you use on this one? 2) What techniques did you use to get the vinyl top to look that way? Thanks! Lovefordgalaxie
That's what I call a super great job!!!! The paint job alone is stunning!! Harry P.
I agree with Peter. A pretty much flawless model, except the white lettering on the tires is way too close to the outer edge. It should be much closer to the wheel rim:

Peter Lombardo
I only painted what formed Revell on the tires. Yura, you caught my attention with your comment........I went and pulled my "Pro Modeler" '69 Charger off the shelf and checked the tires in the kit.....you are completely correct about the raised white lettering. Revell imprinted them too far to the outside............obviously, I never looked at the tires in that kit as I plan to use the AMT Poly-glass tires in the parts pack for this car as they were on my buddies car back in the day. You didn't do it wrong, they did. But as I looked at the Revell tires from the kit it became obvious to me that the lettering is very faintly molded on the tire, may I ask how you got such a "Clean" paint job on them? They look so perfectly painted that I thought they were decals and not paint................so please share your method, I am very curious how you did it. I stand corrected....even though the lettering is too far our, you did not create the issue.

Grumpa
Beautiful job Yuri! This is stunning! My Dad had one of these around 1969 / '70. I was around fourteen when he and three of my friends were coming home from skiing on a Sunday. I think he was "ticked-off" because he had to tear himself away from a basketball game on TV to come pick us up. Anyway, we took a left hand corner a little too quick and broadsided through a snow bank into an Oak that wasn't going to move. Luckily nobody was hurt. We had about a thirty mile ride back to town, and I remember sitting in the cab of the tow truck with my Dad, while my two friends ended up riding back in the Charger slouched down so that no-one would see them. A bit against the law doing that. Too bad for the Charger though...bent the frame and it was totaled.
