One more thing you may want to look at is sheets of plastic for RC aircraft canopies. If you don't have a LHS any online dealer should carry sheets and is available in numerous colors as well.

Re-released Mach Won Mustang Funny Car
Phirewriter replied to Monty's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
I found the Revell '69 Boss 302 is a good candidate for a conversation. The major issue (and is not a difficult modification) is swapping the inner fenders/engine bay. Everything else including the interior is a drop in. The windshield may need some finessing as well. -
Food coloring is not intense enough to use without multiple coats nor is it light fast. You'll have clear windows again after a little while depending on how and where your car is displayed.

Nice restorations. I've been restoring older Tonka, Buddy L and Nylint stuff for years. Mostly for other people but I have a number in my collection.

Very nice! You've definitely channeled Michael Turner in those paintings, well done!

I know that feeling. My computer crapped out a few months ago and took me awhile to get something going. I always have music on and don't like streaming from the various available services. I have a Bluetooth connection so I can stream to the vintage system in my studio. Still sounds better than my wizz bang techno theater system in the living room.

That's really cool, I've got a number of LS kits but are Can Am slot car bodies converted to static kits and not really that nice as far as details go.

It utilizes some of the same suspension components but the frame is different. It's design is similar to the frame used in the the retooled Sizzler and AMT's double dragster, Chassis Research/Scotty Fenn design I believe. The Mooneyes dragster uses a Dragmaster style similar to the one in the Attempt 1.

Given that they're reissuing TD kits they should utilize his son Kelly to do additional box art beyond kits of his father's. I know some of his art is not everyone's taste either but it's a great deal better than what's being used on some of Atantis's kits. A while ago I mentioned that the art for the Revell '57 Cadillac and the Mooneyes dragster looked awkward as well but ultimately it's what in the box I guess. It's too bad, I enjoy box art (explains Palmer kits in my collection) and have bought some of Atlantis's aircraft due to the use of old Aurora and Revell artwork. At least it will probably never be as bad as kits form Ertl and RC back in the day.

Nicely done! Nice color choice and smooth paint. This is one of those kits that been a long time favorite of mine. I will point out on the optional Hemi the sparkplugs are centered in the head. The plug wires would route under the raised center on the valve covers entering through the rear. Most kits that have stock 1st generation Hemi's don't have the rear of the wire cover correctly extended off the rear of the valve covers due to the shape interfering with the ejection of the tree.
