1925 Model T Rat Rod

20 July 2014 - 09:47 PM

I have been working on this project on and off during my other major builds the aztec warrior, strippers delight, and egyptian raider. I have come up with a plan for the roof, I cut out the roof and cut down a template for scrapbooking and will also add a skull and crossbones on top of that, I have the doors cutout and the trunk lid for full detail, updates to come as I get time for this one.

Beauty Supply Find

09 May 2014 - 06:26 PM

Not sure if these will work for everyone but was in walmart the other day and came across packages of small do dads to put in nail polish as it dries. On the top row is strawberries  (not to convincing and not pictured) kiwi, oranges and watermelon, the rest of the packaged had stars and other objects but I thought that these three were the most convincing, they look close to scale and i bought several packages thinking that it could be added to dashboards or placed on the seats of vehicles or even in a scratch built picnic basket.

This im sure this has been done before but this is what im planning on using for one of my 1/16th scale 1951 kafer vw beetle. Im gonna make it a lowrider and want to make some crazy seats for it.

This is what I want but probably will not be this crazy:

this is what I have from a few shampoo bottles:

these will be the seats, the bottom and the top, Ill build them up with more styrene that is the plan then add foam shaped like bottom tufted upholstery.

1/16th scale revell kafer

24 March 2014 - 10:22 AM

I have decided to start the 1/16th scale VW Kafer however I want to model a roof rack for it kind of like the one in the photo below, I was thinking evergreen but that may be too week as I want to fill it full of stuff, I thought brass but my soldering skills suck, any ideas? 936055_689910721049865_1701219808_n_zpsd
