  1. My only real complaint is the typical molded in underhood detail. The brake booster is especially bad looking. You'll have to find an earlier style steering wheel, as the kit has the airbag type wheel. The transmission looks like an older style 4spd, so a swap of some kind is in order if you want an accurate trans.
  2. Following along, as I had an '85 D150 long bed with a 318 4spd.
  3. I really like the color on this. The white interior goes great with the exterior color. The steelies make the Impala look tough! Like the owner popped the hubcaps off in preparation for some street racing.
  4. Fantastic color scheme! The overall workmanship is spectacular as well.
  5. I've used the tape along with a razor saw and/or the corner of a needle file to make a straight channel for the actual scribing tool to follow. My latest effort went well, in spite of my so-so scribing ability.
  6. That's different, and I like it! Nice paint color and execution.
  7. I know that's Sublime. Is it Santeria? No...It's "What I Got"?
  8. Dave, Scenes Unlimited has 8 lug wheels as well, in 2 and 4wd options. I can recommend both Scenes and BnL for service and quality.
  9. Sorry for my mistake, John! I didn't realize the grilles changed after '73
  10. This is so cool! I'm sure it's twin will be off the charts!
  11. Fantastic four! They're so spotless and accurate!
  12. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-MPC-1974-1976-Dodge-Pickup-Resin-Grill-DPG2-/311772667792?hash=item4897195f90:g:kjwAAOSw5cNYa3oz John, here's the link.
  13. My items from Speed City are top quality and the service was excellent.
  14. Best wishes and hopes for a better 2017.
  15. John, ebay seller "hoppersbazaar" sells that grille in white resin. You'd still have to chrome it, but you won't have to kill for it .
  16. Hi Dave! I agree with Mike's comment regarding the trucks as they came originally. D200 series, 3/4 ton, probably a Dana rear axle. A 440 was available in '74-'78 . However, a Hemi-powered shop/crew truck would certainly be cool and unique! Having messed around with the Red Express kit, I have some advice. Explore your oil pan options before choosing one. I had trouble doing an engine swap due to the oil pan. The pan hit the front crossmember and made the engine sit wrong. I'd say some trial-and-error is in order.
  17. Yes! Recently, I was looking for some H or J/78-15 tires (225 or 235/75-15 metric) for a Cadillac. I know the Modelhaus had some that would have worked for me. I'm sure some white walls and black walls (for the police car builders) in the above sizes would sell well.
  18. What aftermarket parts would you buy if offered in 2017? I'm still pining for 18" wheel/tire combos for 1/24-25 scale '60's and '70's American cars. Something not too big or wide, but larger with modern tread. I'm interested to hear what is on your wish list. (I'm just a builder. Not fishing for products to market )
  19. I don't care for opera, but when Luciano Pavarotti hits those high notes, I get a shiver up my spine!
  20. Great work stands the test of time! I wouldn't have otherwise seen this fine truck. Glad you resurrected this thread.
  21. I keep going back and forth on that Testors Pantera kit. The lack of an engine is a real turn-off to me. However, the car on the box looks so cool! I have to fight the urge to bid when one comes up on ebay.
  22. Outstanding body of work! Those are some first class paint jobs.
  23. A bevy of stunners! That 442 really jumps off the screen!
  24. Dave, I'm learning a great deal here. Thanks for the descriptions and pics. I'm SLOWLY developing the abilities I need to build my '72 replica. I have to add a full vinyl top with a coarse grain to mine.
