Very cool and creative, nice work! -
Very nice work, details are sharp, clean build, great work Albert! I'm really liking the worn look you got on the tires with the rocks and road dirt stuck in what was hot rubber, fantastic. If i may ask how did you get that effect? I have a Ducati 1199 from Tamiya that is somewhere in a long list of builds and would really like to try and acheive something like that. I hope I can make mine look even half as good as yours, it will be my first bike build.

Thanks Steve. It is a fun build. I actually have most of the entire series of these kits. This is my first one of the set and I'm loving it, would highly recommend. With that said, this particular kit is very minimal in parts and details, adds to the fun of adding your own details. My only complaint is the chassis has a weird textured finish to it which is fine for the most part except the exhaust system. I probably have over an hour just in sanding the exhaust smooth. Thanks for looking, happy I could inspire someone! -

Have made some progress over the last few days. Finished mounting the tires to the wheels and got the fronts attached to the struts. Masked off the body to airbrush the window mouldings, came out nice and clean, no bleed through or anything. Also finshed painting the interior and finished the front seats. I cut the headrest off the front seats to give it the vintage race seat look and added lap belts. Getting closer to final assembly, hopefully this weekend. Few pictures below, Thanks for looking -
Radiator support came out good, those headers look really good, nice scratch building. Good looking Jeep, can't wait to see more!

Great job Harry. I'm on my sixth build since I came out of a 25 year or so leave of absence and I still have much to relearn as well as many new skills to learn, no such thing as a failure just a lesson to be learned. We are very fortunate to have a wealth of knowledge available to us through the internet. Glossy with an airbrush is something I can't seem to figure out just yet either, it does seem that the closer you are spraying to the part the easier it is to achieve, at least for me. I have sprayed three model bodies with an airbrush so far ( one was a trike and one a mini bike so really only one full body) and it's not as scary as it seems. It is far more time consuming to acheive good coverage than it is to just blast it with a rattle can unless your using a large needle and nozzle. As for the clear parts I leave them in the plastic bag as far away from my actual workspace as possible until I'm absolutely ready for them to be installed and then rubber gloves and I have found that Canopy glue or GatorsGrip glue holds tightly and dries clear. You sir have done a fantastic job on this model and should be proud of your efforts. Your engine bay detail is very appealing, the colors are great, all around a good job

I like it. I can see it in a nice root beer, something dark and metallic? Always love a nice white interior. Nice work so far!

Hi Vinnie, Been a while since this was posted so you have probably already found what you are looking for but..... Thingiverese and Cults 3d both have a variety of files, model and non model related, files for cars, trucks etc, almost anything you could imagine. Some files are free, some very inexpensive. For the upper end of files there is 3d Model Specialties by Ron Olsen. Simply amazing files, mostly drag racing parts but lots of very nice files, they do come with a premium price. Generally speaking a quick Google search for whatever part you may be looking for followed by 3d print file will yield good results. Hope this helps.
