  1. Welcome Hans, great to have you here. Its wonderful that you and your son can share some hobby time together. I'm fortunate enough to have a son to share it with also, I build models, he likes RC cars which means I also build RC cars, lol (mostly just prepping and painting bodies, he's still learning how to paint). Have fun here, lots of amazing builders who are equally amazing people!
  2. This should be fun to watch, nice progress so far. I agree with your color choice, that will look fantastic on an old E type.
  3. Nice looking old Mopar, great color choice!
  4. Cool little dune buggy there David. Have always loved these little buggies and yours is exactly what I envision when someone says Meyers Manx. Bright, flashy, just says fun, great work!
  5. What a great looking Ford combo! I love all your color choices, very nice work. I picked this re-release up a week or so ago, it's gonna be a while before mine hits the bench but I wanted to grab it before they were all scooped up again. Great job David, hope mine turn out as well as yours.
  6. Just a fantastic old hot rod, I really like the look of the steelie wheels. Great job Carl!
  7. That is a very nice old Chevy"Bomb". Nice detail touches with the wheels and swamp cooler. Good work!
  8. Thanks Dave, the photography is not the best as Im looking back at some of them. Was my first time trying wood grain on the interior and in very small areas with what is supposed to be a dull wood and not glossy. Thanks for the kind words, I appreciate it!
  9. I got the rest of the interior installed to the rolling chassis, just needs the roll bar to be complete. Also finished some photo etch details on the radiator, headlight surrounds and oil cooler. The finish line is near. As always, Thanks for looking.
  10. Impressive build. I love the concept and how you blended the two together. The detailing is just top notch and so realistic, the second photo had me really doubting this was a model. The wood grain came out beautifully. The build, the diorama, the photography, all very well done Mark.
  11. Making progress with each one and none of them are builds to be ashamed of! That's what it's all about , learning and having fun! In the words of the great Bob Ross "No mistakes, just happy little accidents!" Keep on building!
  12. Love it! The hidden headlamps and grille look amazing, paint and finish are so smooth and your foil work is great. Superb car choice also, can't get enough vintage Nissan/Datsun IMO. Great job Luke!
  13. Great job! The foil and paint work are super clean and you nailed the color and vinyl look of the interior, has the perfect sheen, looks like the real thing.
  14. What a great looking interior. Crisp clean dash and console details, the flocking on the door panels looks great, all of it does really. Good stuff!
  15. Got a little more bench time in today, the interior pieces are detail painted and ready for installation. This kit is somewhat different as far as the interior assembly goes, the door panels and dash glue to the inside of the body and the seats and console glue to the chassis. Hopefully all goes well when it comes time to marry the two. Here's a few pics, hope to have it finished this weekend but with festivities and such tommorrow we shall see. Thanks for looking.
  16. Great work John, that's a good looking Comet. That big block looks amazing!
  17. Wow, what a cool old kit. Looks like quite the challenge but with your approach so far it appears as if you are up to it, I will stay tuned to this build for sure.
  18. This one is looking fantastic too Dave. All of your work is just beautiful, such clean creative builds. You sir have an impeccable eye and taste for automotive design and the skill set to match. Every one of your builds is beautiful, can't wait to see this one finished.
  19. Just gorgeous, everything about it. The stance is perfect, the paint and foil work are amazing. Great work David.
  20. The UPS truck left me a present from Megahobby today. A few American classics. The 29 Ford I have been looking at for a while as well as the Surf Wagon, a couple fellow members recent finished builds made me pull the trigger, thanks ModelcarJR and ATHU! The AMT Cal Drag Combo was a must have, three kits in one yipee! And the Mercury just spoke to me. All will be a while before they hit the bench but the stash just got that much better.
