  3. Welcome Steve. Good people and good times here.
  4. This. The two areas that gave me the most issues during test fitting everything was the radiator and firewall. Once the proper positioning of these two parts is determined the front fenders can slide all the way back. The firewall was also extremely important to getting the hood gap correct. I had to trim the lower portion of my hood hinges where they entered the firewall, as the hood would close the hinges would contact the inside of the dash and wouldn't allow the hood to sit flush.
  5. I know this is a little bit older post but I can't miss an opportunity to give praise where praise is due and Ted most certainly deserves some. Ted is great people and a pleasure to do business with. My first order I ever placed with Ted I was having issues completing the order due to some computer glitch. I was trying to place my order on a Sunday evening when I ran in to issues. Ted contacted me the next morning to apologize and walked me through the process to complete my order, that's great customer service. I have placed several orders since and Ted always provides a great selection of products, prompt shipping and prompt courteous responses, all around a good guy and will continue to do business with him!
  6. Good progress so far John, nice work on that windshield frame and nice color choice. I have thought about picking this kit up for a while so I will stay tuned in.
  7. Fantastic detail painting. The weathering and detail on the seat is very realistic. Nice work.
  8. I haven't made near the progress I thought I would this week, got busy with other things. I'm still working on the interior and chassis, will update on those soon. I did manage to finish painting and assembling the wheels, I still need to remove the mold line from the tread of the tires. The tires are very nicely molded otherwise. I left the outer barrels of the wheels in the original chrome, it's a very nice chrome finish and honestly I was not really in the mood to strip and refinish them. The center hubs were painted in Tamiya TS-87 Titanium Gold decanted and airbrushed and then two mist coats of Alclad Candy Golden Yellow in an attempt to get an anodized gold look. The flat black and silver details were hand painted Tamiya acrylics. Long winded for a couple of wheels but anyhow, heres a few pics, thanks for looking
  9. Thank you, my skills are mediocre at best, there are some mind blowing skill levels here. Appreciate it!
  10. This looks fun, great start Bernard can't wait to see more.
  11. Looking really good. Four builds at once and all in a little over a month, very impressive. Looking forward to seeing more.
  12. Hmmm, I'll stick around and watch?
  13. Thanks guys, I thought it was just me kinda struggling through the build being as how I was fairly fresh back to the game. Apparently it is a rather notoriously difficult kit. Makes me slightly more proud of how it turned out.
  14. I'm a nerd and pretty much only watch boring TV Science Channel History Channel (Forged in Fire and all of the How America was Built type series) Smithsonian Channel (Aerial America is great) Motortrend ( Almost anything, might like cars a little bit, lol) Old Tv shows that were before my time or grew up with (MASH and Happy Days are my favs) Other than that it might be youtube, lots of good modeling channels out there, might start my own channel soon My wife usually has the remote which results in hours of Forensic Files, still not convinced shes not learning how to make me disappear!
  15. Just fantastic, the pink, the wheels, the fine details. Amazing work, I hope to build something this nice someday.
  16. Nice clean pair of T-birds, the brush painted blue is so nice. Good work.
  17. Meh, just a model, don't be so hard on yourself, I'm sure we all have a model oops hanging around somewhere. Hope you saved the engine and intake setup, that looked great!
  18. Looks great Simon, the BBS wheels are a nice touch, they look great. I have been eyeballing Alphas 911 Porsche by Singer, kinda scared of the 1/43 scale, my eyes already strain.
  19. Thank you, appreciate it.
  20. Just beautiful, not much more to say!
  21. Very well done and very off the wall. I love it! Great job.
  22. I will be on the look out for the second version, I like the gunmetal better even though it would probably get painted over. Big fan of the LB Works kits.
  23. Congrats Manny, enjoy some time at the bench for yourself! I might know a guy you could buy some pretty sweet parts from, I will hook you up with him. Probably cut ya a good deal too!
  24. Thanks everyone,appreciate it!
