I’m REALLY liking this one!!

Sorry I’m late to the party. I’m my opinion it depends on what scale you’re building. I normally use the 1:25 scale AMT NASCAR kits for my builds as you can normally get them pretty cheap (I got a lot of 8 of them off eBay for around $50). The Revell/Monogram kits work for 1:24 scale builds, and can be had for around the same price or a little bit more. They are not by any means a direct/perfect fit, and you will have to do some modifications to get them to work, but after all that’s what this hobby is about. We are builders, not just assemblers. Here is an AMT NASCAR Thunderbird chassis under a current WIP. I had to shave some of the rear tubs and extend the front suspension around 2mm to get the wheelbase to line up.

I brought these and displayed them in the non judged club section. I don’t think my builds are good enough to compete.

Got one finished and off the bench, then started mocking up a couple of new builds.

They have had a bunch of these trucks invading the rod runs at Pigeon Forge for the past few years and have recently passed laws in Tennessee making squatted trucks illegal. Back in the spring at the rod run they started enforcing the laws and towing trucks/fining owners. Not only is it stupid looking but it is unsafe as well.

I’ll take second in line behind Dan on that Volvo wagon if you decide to part with it. My wife says that is one of her dream cars alongside a 77 Monte Carlo. Already built her a model of the Monte.

Went by a local Walmart today on my way home to pick up some stuff for my wife. Cruised down the Hot Wheels aisle(don’t judge me 😂) and on an end cap hidden in the back corner of the toy section was a clearance rack with these n it for $15 each. So yeah they came home with me 😂🤣

Not sure on the modifications needed as I built mine mostly box stock after a lengthy paint debacle (don’t ask lol) The hood I made using the scoop from the Revell 68 Charger kit.

Can’t go wrong with a blue Demon. The engine is a bit undersized and a good replacement can be found in the AMT 71 Duster.
