  1. I always have enjoyed that unique porsche body style.
  2. I hate to be the one that says it,but do you think that seeing "Nice build" posted back to back five times by five different people is meaningful feedback? I don't really post on completed models or WIP's unless I have something I specifically want to mention or commend,I feel like pointing out an excellent execution of brake line plumbing or a realistic interior is far more meaningful to the OP then a three word post. A like button would allow the people who make these short and repetitive posts to show support in a different way and allow more room for people to point out what they individually like about the build. Many times have I gone back and studied the pictures more closely after someone mentions a detail I skimmed over.
  3. I absolutely agree, I'm a member on another forum that uses IP Board as the host and it features a like button (they even had the ability to rename it to where it could be a "Favorite", "Upvote",ect.). I'm sure a few people would be against it but I can't think of any negative repercussions.
  4. That Copen really pops with those rims, maybe even find some stretch walls for them and keep them tucked under for a super clean look. These are all definitely showing some potential.
  5. Nice, looks like the start to a cool project. Now all you need is an Autozam AZ-1 and you've got the whole Asian micro car line up ready to go.
  6. Yeah lots of cool stuff, I feel like this year should be renamed "The French Invasion" with all of the Citroens we're going to be getting.
  7. Can we all just take a moment to admire how the "1776" paint job was unavailable to dealers in Washington D.C. , imagine not being able to buy a Chevy with American Flag graphics on it in the capitol of the United States.
  8. Almost forgot about the Ferguson. I can not think of any reason as to why I would need or want one,but I'm kinda drawn to it because of how out there in left field it is.
  9. Well I can honestly say I never thought that we would ever have a chance at getting this kitted. Heller has really impressed me over the past few days with their new kit announcements. Here's a good thread to post specifically about this announcement from the toy show.
  10. Aside from the obvious Paul Walker tribute I could think of some interesting uses for this kit. Somewhere I've got a set of "Scale Auto" sponsorship decals, some red and white paint and I should have a decent faux rally car.
  11. Then why is it the place for yours? Whom has entitled anyone head over anyone here? Last time I checked we were all equal here. I'm not nessicarily trying to be mean, but I'm just using your own logic. Think before you try and assert yourself onto others.
  12. The only issue I've had with my Esci kit's are warpage, but both were unique situations. First off was a body that was clear plastic that was stored improperly for twenty years and the other one was my BMW M1,but my ROG issue of it has the same issue with the roof being ever so slightly warped (Easy fix though).
  13. We all have our opinions, Skips feedback could definitely be used to help improve somethings around here. While I am grateful of Greggs generosity If there is an issue it will not be noticed until it gets to big to maintain if criticism is never given. It's like how kid's "Clean" their room, you can only stuff so much into the closet before it all avalanches out one day. Also don't be so fast to jump on someone if your violating one of the biggest rules of the site, take a chill pill man.
  14. Interesting, I never would have expected MPC to produce a kit of sure a rare Japanese sports car. I now kinda want one just because it exists (And yes I know that other manufacturers make a kit of the 2000).
  15. "Give Me Convenience or Give Me Death" By The Dead Kennedys. I'm not going to post a link to it due to how upset people will get over something like this but it's a great album if you enjoy early punk or music speaking out against social issues. Also "Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols" by the Sex Pistols is one of the most unappreciated albums of rock in my opinion.
  16. Someone's doing a BRE conversion over on Facebook and let me just say that it looks stunning. I really need to get one of these for a mild street custom.
  17. The show is only once a year sadly, but we do have monthly meetings, grab some info here. I'm also a poor college kid by the way, not many people our age build.
  18. Hey I'm in the 'boro as well, you should come to the local model show this weekend at the Agg. Center off John Rice Blvd.MODEL CONTEST 2014 flyer.doc
  19. I honestly think it's laughable to call this a street car, no sane person would use it as a daily driver. The complete lack of any creature comforts, lack of an interior, and stupidly powerful engine would make it to much for the road. Sure it does a good job doing what it was built for (the track) but just because it qualifies in certain areas as street legal doesn't mean I'm going to think of it in the same mindset of car that have been modified or built to be used as dailys.
  20. It's a good show with most of the guys that put it on are awesome but I chose not to go because the amount of drama that certain un-named (None are on here, this always goes down on FB) individuals have stirred up over the last few shows in the southern region is ridiculous. I honestly would be fine if I never entered into a show again with they way these guys act, they wonder why young people aren't coming into the hobby and staying for long, maybe if they would stop stabbing others backs online over trivial awards they could see that they are driving new comers away and tarnishing the community. It's a shame to see so many people get worked up over plastic.
  21. Based off the frame it looks like your going for the 60's kit look that was very popular on the west coast, here's the Taco that comes with the Vandal kit I built up a year or so ago. Honestly this would be a labor of love since there is already a fairly common injection molded version on the market, also it's brand specific whereas yours is a generic no name bike (Guys that build these want specific bikes like Rupps and Tacos). The project still has potential, but don't expect people to be pushing down your door to buy one.
  22. Why not go all out and throw in a turbo'd EJ25 out of the Revell WRX and convert it to AWD, problem solved. Or go with a turbo'd 12a from the Monogram Rx-7.
  23. That saddest part about this is that I've seen several people in the hobby who write like this, for example one guy builds some excellent pieces but has the absolute worst grammar and lack of forethought I've ever seen.
  24. Sweet, I'm glad you decided to go through with it. I was just kinda joking when I mentioned it months ago.
