  1. Another thing I think many people are over looking is that we could also have the Explorer based Interceptor as a possibility since they haven't specified.
  2. I think most people are forgetting a very important thing that was briefly mentioned earlier in this thread, The trailer in the first post is fake.......Let that sink in for a minute before the bashing of a movie without a real trailer continues....
  3. I am excited they are repoping the Integra. I got one for three bucks (parts still in bags) at a flea market and stupidly sold it to a friend for ten bucks, then I started to like Japanese cars.
  4. I might be able to get some tonight, but I'm not for sure since I'm really busy. But I will try in the coming days to get some pictures up.
  5. It's a race car Harry, they don't need those anyways.
  6. I might have to get one since it's so out there, and I think the Corvair would have had a longer legacy if Nader wouldn't have slaughtered it. I remember someone on here mad an awesome Corvair funny car and Named it "Unsafe at any speed".
  7. I would fully support that effort. Can we start a kickstarter for that? Seriously though I've got three Jo-Hans that I'm afraid to build, all are in various shapes and none came to cheap.
  8. OK I'll admit I got super excited when I saw this, as many of you know I'm a rather big AMC guy. This has been one of those kit's I've always wanted to get at least one to see what it's like, but since it will be hitting shelves soon (This October) I may have to purchase multiple copies. I'm very curious to see how this will work out quality wise and price wise, if anyone has one tucked away and can reflect on the quality of the kit please do, I've never been able to look at one up close.
  9. Don't worry, I was ignorant when I was young too. Feel free to stick to your guns but please at least don't contradict yourself in a debate. If you want to duke it out more lets do it via message so were not airing dirty laundry for all to see.
  10. I just picked up two today. I'm pretty pleased with them so far. Much better release than the tuners series release.
  11. I think you totally missed my point. What I'm trying to say is your pouring all that money into it just to beat a stock super car, and most of the time the guys that buy them modify them right off the bat. So then you have a massive money hole that can compete with some cars in a a straight line (Which is not what super cars are built for) now take it on a road with lots of curves and if you want to be competitive you might as well go and replace your suspension, brakes, tires, ect, ect. Then at the end of the day is it really worth throwing all that money into it when you can just go pick one up for a little more? (By the time you make it as versitile as any super-car your going to have spent way more than you mentioned.) So best thing to do is compare stock cars to stock cars and then compare modified cars to modified cars, simple enough rule to follow.
  12. But then there's the whole "I put enough money into my Mustang/Camaro/Challenger to purchase a stock Ferrari/ Lamborghini/ Porsche only to be able to beat a STOCK super car" argument. It all boils down to this: Get what you want with your money to make yourself happy, but don't forget there will always be someone with a faster car.
  13. And?This thread is about the new Challenger, no need to derail the OP.
  14. That would be a good one as well. About a year ago there was a real 510 on ebay with a twin turbo'ed V6 in it, some of the ideas for engine swaps people have are crazy. Ah yes, a Ratsun is on my list to do someday. Bare metal look, exposed rivets, a tiger shark mouth , and some surface rust make a 510 look downright evil. Bonus points for exposed intercooler and a stripped down interior.
  15. I know. Eightyone81 has some awesome wheels that would look killer on a 510 but they are all 16'-18' which is way to big for the tiny wheel wells. Another interesting swap would be an AWD EJ20 conversion, use one from the Revell wrx sti kit or get one from Eightyone81 in a few weeks when they restock.
  16. If someone wanted to get REALLY crazy they could try a 2JZ swap from Tamiya's Supra. The scales are different but if it fit's I say go with it.
  17. This is one of those kits where the possibilities are almost endless..... And yes I know about the flares, but to be fair I kinda like them.
  18. I certainty hope so. I've got two stock ones and a BRE gluebomb. It sure would be nice for them to repop the BRE version so we could get back the race parts.
  19. At least the Europeans get down to business and don't take forever to do something.
  20. Is that generalize? Were not all street racing psycho's ya know. Anyway back to the OP. It's sad to see that the guy lost alomost everything he put into that restoration in mere seconds, but it's also really good that no lives were taken.
  21. Looking forward to picking one up soon. And yes they do have super tiny tires, it's next to impossible to find a wheel that fits in one of these things in scale.
  22. I feel as if this is very appropriate here. Also at :40 is that a blow off valve I hear?
  23. I'm a big fan of smaller bikes and I really like the style of Naked bikes (Ducati Monster is the perfect example of one) so I'm pretty open. A local dealership had a Honda Grom in a while back and I think one of those would be loads of fun, but it's just 125cc (Although I can get a big bore 150cc kit). I'm still trying to make up my mind on exactly what I want, but I know I want a standard/naked bike (Had a Honda Rebel and it was the most uncomfortable thing ever, not making that mistake again) . Hopefully I can find something decent under 5K on Craigslist within the nest year or so.
  24. I see many long roads on warm summer days in your future. Nothing else quite like the feel of riding, I'm currently trying to find a Standard bike for next summer.
  25. Nice score with the Porsches Frank. I think I'm gonna pick up the 2015 'stang when my Not so LHS gets one in.
