  1. Also heads up Scale Dreams is back, only at shows so far I think. I bought from them at the Birmingham NNL.
  2. Interesting how that works isn't it,Lol.
  3. I was browsing HLJ earlier an came across this. I'm very curious as to how this comes out, Imagine having this loaded up with a bunch of 240 z's or vintage skylines. The price seems a bit high but it is a tractor and trailer so we will have to see how that works out. Anyone have any pictures of it yet other than the artist rendering.
  4. That actually looks pretty slick. I'm sure it would look much better lowered with a sick candy paint job.
  5. I'd go with the Turbo four. Not only is it's till easy to have fun but there are so man things you can do to a four banger to make it equally as potent as a v6 or v8. Also there's just something about that spooling sound, the first time you hear it your hooked, especially if it's a twin system.
  6. Sorry if I offended you, your comment just seemed a little strange. And also it's kinda awkward to classify euro and Japanese styling together , similar to saying the same about the musical styling of The Beatles and Nirvana. Both countries have distinctive styles that are reoccurring and easily recognizable but fairly different from one another. In the Mustang I see the roots of what it was derived from fairly clearly with a little bit of the Jag styling that Cato mentioned earlier.
  7. I've heard a lot about this guy, sounds like he was a crazy guy. Wasn't he the one that took some of the big shots from Nascar out into a parking lot and found a Chevelle just to prove his roof wasn't modified or something? Please forgive my Nascar knowledge or lack thereof.
  8. Have you seen an RX-7 before? I don't see any resemblance other than the fact that they have four wheels and a windshield.
  9. I think it's funny how the acceptance of the new Mustang has finally started to set it. When it was first shown I remember guys in droves saying it was ugly as sin,but now everyone likes it as passionately as they used to hate it. I personally like the new styling and do plan on picking up the Revell snaptite kit soon when it hits shelves (Got the revellations news letter that mentioned it's coming soon.) I don't have any pictures of it right now but Bob Downie's build of the kit is spectacular, it looks great beside his '13 Boss.
  10. I hate to say it but I doubt that the Caravan will ever see it's day on store shelves again. And besides you can pick them up at show fairly cheap, heck I've literally seen a vendor throw one away cursing at it that he couldn't give it away. I say stock up on them and hoard them for about thirty years and they may be pretty rare!
  11. I've never been a big GM guy, I was always raised in a Ford and Mopar environment. This being said I don't hate or dislike GM,but hardly any of their products appeal to me, I'm more or less neutral on the subject. My first and current car is a 1999 Chevy S-10, it was not a first choice but it fit my requirements. I have learned many things about GM vehicles and especially where they cut corners in s-10's, for example I went to a junkyard to find a new passenger airbag switch for my truck and all 21 s-10's in the yard had them removed same thing with the headlights for the '99 model. I just really hope that these recalls don't affect '99 S-10's anytime soon.
  12. Cutting corners on safety seems to be a PIA for them right now. Also here's an interesting chart about the sheer size of some of GM's recalls, The Camaro's above are not in here btw.
  13. That is pretty cool. I might have to pick one of these up.
  14. I was going to say a turbo four banger as well! Sometimes you just need to do something different from the norm.
  15. Seems as if we will never know what this big issue is. I'm just going to say someone said something and didn't want to eat their words so they just decided to shut us out of it. If anyone else finds this issue please feel free to help the community and share, it does no good to keep it to yourself.
  16. Don't worry it's only 50 lashings and 10 months dungeon,no trial.
  17. Looks sharp.
  18. I have had a similar experience with Squadron. Last year I purchased a Heller Renault 4cv "pie" and the decals were destroyed when I opened the package. I sent them a e-mail and within two days I had a brand new decal sheet. My only complaint with squadron is that they are more military based but I've noticed over the last year they have gradually added more cars to their inventory. Since my LHS is gone I order most of the new releases that I want through them.
  19. 1/87th scale is something fun to do when you say "There's no way a model could make me lose my sanity"
  20. That's not my opinion, it's me stepping up for a fellow builder who's being harassed. As for my opinion, since you ask, I'm on fairly good terms with Revell. The key is that no one else's opinion on Revell influences the enjoyment I get out of one of their kits because I already have my own opinions about them based of of my experience with them. For example I don't care for many AMT kit's (The tires are a different story) but that shouldn't affect the way you look at a them if you already have experience with their products and have formulated your opinion.
  21. It's fairly obvious that James has his reason for his decision, You should just respect it and go about your own business. It doesn't affect you if he like the kits or not.
  22. What could you need two gallons of it for? To remove a real body?
  23. Just out of curiousity can this be done with acrylics over an acrylic finish, or should I use a Lacquer clear coat to give it some protection?
  24. Looks sweet. I have a 2Jz from a Tamiya Supra kit that I plan on using in mine when I get to it.
  25. Kinda reminds me of a program the they used on "Pimp my ride" ages ago. You could pick what you wanted your car to sound like and it then played that sound out into the cabin. Have a Honda oddessy but really want a lambo? No problem just chose the car you want to own and have fun!
