  1. Huge Floyd fan. I would love to have been around in their prime and been to a few of their shows. I love Animals,Dark Side, and many other masterpiece albums that they have created. It's just good music to lay down too and ponder all sorts of things while listening to the rhythmic chords streaming from their guitars.
  2. On a related note the Nissan Plant in Smyrna TN has provided a similar amount of jobs for locals and the pay ain't that bad either. Ironic how the foreign guys start plants in the US but the Domestic guys go outside the borders to make "American "cars.
  3. Very interesting. A modern four door that isn't a performance car. I can't say I'll purchase one but I fully respect Fujimi's plan to produce one. As for the reaction I'm glad too see that people are interested in it. Well most people, sad to see the lack of respect for an newly tooled product of a totally untapped subject.
  4. I agree with ya Tom. Nothing good can come out of those sections. Every now and then I flip through the "best of Craigslist" which has more than it's fair share of gem's. As for weirdo's and well "Annoyances" Craig sure knows them. I called a guy about a 240z and he started to raise the price over the phone when I sounded interested. I simply told him it doesn't work like that and hung up on his sorry butt. But I did snag my nearly mint Trail 70 on there for a buck fifty.
  5. Excellent job. I don't know what it is but something about a wing on a wing just looks so darn sexy.
  6. Hands down the coolest twin engined car I've ever seen. This is a work of art that will be cherished for years.
  7. There are none that I know of so you would probably have to scratch one your self. I know you didn't want to hear that but it's probably the only way to get one. A good starting point may be a lego rowboat, just cut out the floor and sand down the sides and your pretty close.
  8. The comet and the Satellite for sure, and maybe even the new Hudson. Now lets hope they do something like some 60's and 70's era AMC cars. Imagine a Javelin or Rebel Machine kit with the quality that comes out of Moebius.
  9. Although It may not be realistic that's what I dream of doing one day, owning a brick and mortar hobby shop. I doubt it will happen due to shops dying out but they still exist. If I were to own a successful shop I feel as if I would need to be in an area on the west coast and stock a really nice selection of RC,trains, models and paint/tools as well as general toys and sports equipment to draw in other people.
  10. Straight from the IPMS website "All entries except chapter/group entries must be the sole work of the individual whose name is on the entry blank" The only shows this individual enters is IPMS events, he has not attended any non IPMS events in the area. As for them being superior models, some of them were. Should a man that has money and knows how the internet works be awarded best in show for something that he clicked on and got a week later? No the builder should. As for more evidence here is a build thread on the Merc above.http://www.scale-models.co.uk/threads/49-mercury-custom-coupe-1-25-revell.18131/#post-156444 and here http://www.scale-models.co.uk/threads/1949-mercury-custom-coupe-1-25-revell.17929/
  11. I am here to inform anyone hosting a show in the Southern area of the USA about a man that purchases models off of Ebay and then goes to various shows in this region and cleans house with other people's models. His name is "Charles Jones" sometimes goes by "Charlie Jones". He brings on average about 20+ models to each show and displays them on a square mirror or a rectangular(See picture of one of his entries for details). I have found his ebay username and have documented evidence of his immoral practices. He has even purchased models from some members on here and claims them as his own! Here is a link to a spread sheet I made with links to the models he's bought in the last 90 days:https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1tI-94F2F1Y5XR0UvV2RGrUaijcgb4m6VlMU7TPEUoQk/edit#gid=0 Here is a link to his ebay page:http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=cj4403&ftab=AllFeedback And here are some pictures of the stuff he brings. He tends to frequent IPMS shows and has been spotted in TN,AL, and possibly VA. If you have anymore information on Mr. Jones please send me a PM. A bunch of us have been working really hard to try stop this man from ruining events and giving modelers a bad name.
  12. I've seen picture of them, Super super rare option. I honestly think they look pretty cool with the red and white stripes everywhere on the interior.
  13. Yes, Jo-Han is the only game in town for Javelin's and AMX's. Be prepared to pay upwards of $60-70 for a decent full detail example of that body style.
  14. As far as I remember it was just their hand tools. I doubt their power tools were as they are rather pathetic in quality compared to other offering on the market.
  15. That's some pretty sweet photography. I wonder how he made that tornado, I need to make one in 1/87th scale for a lasercut building that got stepped on.
  16. I think the Raptor is a common truck, I see them all the time. Granted not as much as a regular F-150 but I still see plenty of Raptors. Also not all of them have the tear effect on the side, some are stark white and blend right in.
  17. Here's an idea for the grille if you want to go a little more custom. A full billet grille with hidden headlights. It will also help with the molded in lights. I think it would look good in a nice two-tone gunmetal/gloss black.
  18. That is sick! I plan on making mine a mobile hobby shop. Similar to the book mobiles you used to see everywhere but with models instead of books.
  19. Here's how I feel about this. I think my head exploded several pages back.
  20. I just hope it comes with a good choice of decals to do the iconic bedside decal you see on a lot of the raptors But since it's a snap tight chances are they will be stickers.
  21. Just noticed that the 29' ford looks strikingly similar to the highly sought after "Blue Beetle" kit, even bears a similar name. Do you think they may restore some of the parts back to that issue? *Just saw your post on the other thread Casey, lol. I guess great minds think alike.
  22. I like vans. Picked this guy up recently.
  23. Finally we will get a Raptor kit in scale. It's just a snap kit as of now but It looks like some of the Meng F-350 hype may have motivated Revell to pump out a modern truck kit, hopefully we can get some more modern trucks in the coming years. I'm very excited about this!
  24. Well I really am not a wagon guy so Tamiya work out for me!
