Excellent model so far! Thank you for actually making him build the model! I can't begin to tell you how many "Here's my son/daughters first model kit, he/she did almost all of it her/him self" I have seen at shows and you look at a glass smooth urethane clear coated HOK paint job and a fully plumbed chassis and engine bay from a supposed 10 year old. It makes you go "Nice try dad, looks like you played a little bit into the build of the model". Your doing it the way it should be done, your starting him off the right way!

That reminds me. While on vacation in Florida I ran into a store called "Lefties". They sold the aforementioned hammer along with all sorts of of other left handed items, it was a funny little shop.

I hear what your coming from about the person not knowing where the products was,but it really depends on what it is your looking for. She might know where water hoses are but not know where right angle inverse couplings are because they are a weird product..

Scale Calculator? How about this one.
Austin T replied to fantacmet's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Yes a scale calculator is something handy to have on hand when ever your working on something. I have the woodland scenic's one on my Android. -
Very sharp. I recently got a Tamiya Supra with the 2JZ and was thinking about doing the same thing with my Aoshima kit. Any thing to look out for when dropping the engine in?

What kit were these steelies from ?
Austin T replied to Mr Stock's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
They look like the steelies off of one of amt's boat kit trailers. That would also explain why there is only two. -
I voted for many. If I were to see anyone of them put into production hands down it would be the Ford RS200. One of my favorite group B cars along with the Renault R5 turbos. Also beats having to track down either the modelers resin kit or the reji resin kit and pay 200+ if you do find them.

Something to warm the heart of every Gearhead!

Nice video. Any footage of the Italian lady in the back? -
I think its the fact the you post say a link and just leave the rest up for us to assume things. It's like going in front of a group of people to speak about something and just saying "Hello, Insert Topic here" and then waiting to here what everyone says but most stare and wonder what the heck is the message is you are trying to convey. Not many of us like to assume because we all know what that makes us look like.

Nice score on the Honda XE-50 and the R5 Turbo. Is the R5 curbside or full detail? Also just noticed the Datsun roadster.

One can get licensing for anything if one really trys.

Since you do may I be enlightened? -

I'm still confused here. There's a general statement,a picture of a 'vette, and a link to an article about said 'vette. Maybe adding a brief description of what this thread is to accomplish would help. We could be talking about why this is "Licensed" or we could be talking about the licencing of a new model for all I know. -
Like Richard GSL is on my bucket list. I plan on going out there, meeting some of the greats, blowing a large sum of cash on models, and visiting the International model car museum.

Pronounced "Ladasha" spelled La-a. 'Nuff said.

This would make an interesting diorama.................

There's a little bit of humor there but it's still too far. And Carl surprisingly enough Smart cars are pretty strong, they were engineered to protect the occupants if a crash occurs. -
Very cool kit. I'd love to have one of these and a Rosso NSX. I saw your other thread and I must say you are a lucky guy.

MENG 1/24 Ford F350 Super Duty Crew Cab: Sneak Peek Pics!
Austin T replied to Gregg's topic in Truck Kit News & Reviews
I don't think anyone cares about the degree of the issue,it's just how crazy people got over it. Friendships were ruined, members kicked/banned, and sides were taken over a $20 plastic model kit! It's not the seats we're concerned about it's the people who will (not may) blow them out of proportion and end up giving the forum a bad name because a bunch of guys got their panties in a wad over something stupid that isn't going to matter five years down the road. So please before anyone wants to drag this on and keep flogging a dead Mustang horse take it up elsewhere so those that don't want to see it don't have to wade through it to get to the actual review. -
Yea I kinda figured the odds were not good at all,but hey if they were to do the GT-R that would easily make up for it.

Building season is over for me...
Austin T replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Don't worry Harry, based on this years winter around mid May you should get about a foot and a half of snow.
