  1. I have no idea. They're in stacks, on shelves, and in boxes in the basement. Also have a few boxes of kits in a bedroom closet that haven't made it downstairs yet. Probably up to a couple hundred? Never counted.
  2. Correct or not I regret not buying the Doyusha T/A kit because it was "too expensive." That was within the last 5 or so years ago at a LHS in the vintage kit section. If it was still there at the price they had it at I would grab it up in an instant...just because. Big Pontiac fan you know.
  3. Glad I bought this when I did. $20.00 with the 40% off Hobby Lobby coupon. Also got the plates from Cooter himself at World Of Wheels years ago.
  4. Went out twice today. On the way home from the first trip there was a red '68 Chevelle SS396 parked on the side of the road. The second time out, with my wife, as I was pulling into the local Menard's there was a blue '68 Charger R/T leaving. Once in the parking lot there was a creamy yellowish '71(2?) Olds Cutlass Convert(the only pic of all the cars I saw today). On the way home there was a blue '69 Chevelle SS going the other way. Also a red '65(6?) Mustang Convert.
  5. A 1969 Olds Cutlass(no 442 badges anywhere)...dark green with black steelies and dog dish hub-caps. Sounded VERY healthy with the Flowmaster's. Actually, I saw it twice. Once at a gas station and then again heading towards the freeway by my house.
  6. Mail carrier dropped this off this morning. Another Ebay purchase. The only thing I don't like about it is it's molded in yellow. It is a complete kit with only about a mm broken off the rear passenger side tip of the tail above where the taillight goes.
  7. Number 4 of the '70 GTO promos. It has slight, but easy to repair damage. So, I think this is the one to take apart, fix, and use the resin parts, as well as paint(Orbit Orange by Scalefinishes) and decals I have to make "The Judge"...eventually.
  8. Sorry guys. Haven't seen this post in a while. @Dan- I'm planning on getting at least a few of this kit. So, absolutely I'd trade the caps for 8-lugs! @lordairgtar- I used to go to almost all of the local dealer car shows during the summer. I have a pretty thick photo album from all of those shows over the years. Great reference pics for me to use. It's too bad those shows aren't around anymore.
  9. Well, what I didn't see coming was the deer that came running across the road and hit my rear driver-side door. If she ran a few seconds later, the guy on the motorcycle would have been broad-sided by her. Lucky for him...she didn't, but he saw the whole incident and stopped. Now I have a nice dent in the door just ahead of the rear edge under the door handle with a crease that cracked the paint.
  10. At the grocery store this morning. '64(?) Mercury Monterey Convertible.
  11. Sweet Bonnie Peter! I got both of these, from separate sellers, off of Ebay. Both arrived in the mail today. I finally managed to snag a Johan '68 Caddy Convert. Now I'm on the hunt to get the '64 Caddy Convert too. And, after seeing a couple of builds on the Caddy STS-V, I had to pick one up myself...still sealed too. Like the other builds, mine will be built more stock looking as well. No scissor doors, no huge rims, and no wild graphics.
  12. Still trying to get my hands on a Johan '63(4?) & '65 Verts, but I have this '77 Coupe Deville promo. Deciding if I want to leave it as is, or dismantle it, clean it up, and paint/detail it. Problem is, it's a complete original(even the hood ornament still there) with box.
  13. I built one years ago. It's pretty much a snap-tite kind of model. With a little work, detailing, and painting/weathering it is a very nice display model. It would definitely look at home on a layout.
  14. A pair of new rear shoes for the rider mower. The last 2 in stock at the Sears Parts Store. Originals are nearing 20yo and are hard as a rock...no traction at all.
  15. First really decent weekend around here and poof....cars are coming out! Went to Culver's, a burger chain mostly here in Wisconsin, and there was a late 80's/early 90's(?) Mustang GT convertible and a black on black 1970 GTO that stopped me in my tracks...twice. On the way home from Culver's there was a '39(?) Chevy sedan(humpback) hot rod/street rod(however you want to look at it). And finally, right before I turned onto my street at the stoplight, an '85 or '86 Buick Grand National. All within a mile or so of home and I didn't bring MY PHONE!
  16. Yesterday, on my detour off and then back onto the freeway, there was a Reliable Transport rig unloading a car. That one, a Corvette, wasn't the one that caught my eye. It was the one on the lower tier at the side entrance door...a black '66 or '67 GTO. This morning, I saw a '66 or '67 Polara or maybe a Newport. Not exactly sure. On my way home from work tonight there was a Silver '77 or '78 Trans Am on the side of the road. On a side note. Something you don't see everyday around here. From the road , I saw a FA-18 Hornet coming in for a landing at Mitchell Airport. There is a National Guard Air-refueling unit based there, but no fighters are. Just a little unusual. Even with the driver-side window cracked and music blaring, man that plane was LOUD!
  17. Saw a yellow Ferrari F430 heading the other way on the freeway as I was heading to work on Tuesday.
  18. @Daniel- You can send all the unwanted 8-lugs my way after this kit is released. I think they're one of the best looking wheels ever made.
  19. Two '59 Chevy Impala's on a car carrier going the other way on the freeway on my way to work.
