  1. Went to Model Empire today and picked up 2 of these.
  2. Very sharp looking! I see the wiring and plumbing. Any other details to share...color etc.
  3. The Walmart by where I used to live sold models for a short time. I bought the last one on clearance. The Walmart by where I live now still has models, but they really don't have much of a selection and don't really restock either. Just a matter of time?
  4. Got in a trade with a relatively newer member here...Kenneth Bultema(Paverblack).
  5. Smooth and fast trade with Kenneth Bultema(Paverblack).
  6. Using a small cordless drill I really don't have any problems with the bits drilling into plastic.
  7. I bought a 30 piece drill bit set(Drill Master item# 94606) like the ones for a pin vice. Only paid a few bucks for the set vs. $20+ on the net or hobby store. They're great for plug wire holes and hogging out tailpipes and....
  8. I just don't care anymore. If I'm buying spray paint(except @‌ the LHS), beer, at the bank, an "R" rated movie(Oooo!), or whatever may require an ID to buy, I'm usually paying with a card. So, open wallet already...ID flipped open, ID checked, I pay, and out the door I go. No big deal. Sometimes the cashier just kind of jokes about the ID thing..."You're 18(or 21) right?" Me: "No, I put each of the gray hairs in myself on purpose."
  9. Just looking around Ebay and found this...the Adventure People Daredevil with parachute. I, as well as a couple of neighborhood kids, all had one when we were kids. Well, the nostalgic side got ahold of me and it was cheap enough, so here it is.
  10. Got a couple more Crown Vic's...both are Motormax. The silver car has just red and blue lights as well as the strobe back-up lights. Got it pretty cheap and the seller also included a Crown Victoria dealer pamphlet. According to the seller it was the last car he was going to build and sell. The black one will eventually get lights and siren. I also got the black wheels for it and they're on the car already.
  11. Went a little crazy buying from Scale Finishes and Fireball Modelworks. Also got a couple more 1/18 Crown Vic's and an Adventure People Daredevil posted elsewhere.
  12. Growing up, my dad was a AMC and a MOPAR guy. None of that really stuck on me. And my mom really didn't care as long as the car ran and got from A to B and back to A again. For me it was Chevy. BUT, that was until I really started looking at Pontiac's. To me, they made Chevy look generic. Pontiac had much better styling based on the same body style. My first car was a '72 LeMans Sport(still my favorite car I owned and the most fun). I also had '93 Grand Prix LE for a few years as well. Pontiac's will always be my favorite, but in recent years I've been drawn to MOPAR's as well and currently drive a '13 Ram 1500. Lately, I've been eyeing a '70 Challenger that looks to be ripe for a restoration down the street sitting in a neighbors garage as their "catch all." Pretty sad really.
  13. I'm thinking about using a garage floor epoxy covering since I have a bare concrete floor right now. I work at a place where I can get a deep employee discount(factory direct). I might even tint it too. And yes, I'd check about the fumes and curing with the use indoors.
  14. It wasn't a kit. The car came just the way it's pictured. I also recently picked up a silver "slick top" with just red and blue lights...no siren. I also found a guy on YouTube that will put lights, siren, blah, blah, blah in a die-cast for a cost of course. So, I'm thinking about having a black Crown Vic done.
  15. There's still air in the tires!
  16. Did the old "slap and wrap" when I had it then. Now I guess you could call it my holy grail kit. Just not willing to pay the prices people want for them.
  17. Same boat here. Picked at plenty of kits, but nothing to show for it.
  18. @‌Dave- Oh no...those are for keeps. Been waiting too long for those.
  19. It's a Pontiac...you've got my attention. One question though...does the kit come with the engine and transmission? If I'm not mistaken, in '63, the transmission was located in the rear creating an IRS and had a torque tube between the engine and tranny...like the latest couple/few generations of Corvette's. I went on the MCW site and there are no pictures. I'm just curious about that.
  20. OH HAPPY DAY! THEY FINALLY MADE IT! And, a second Cutlass for another project.
  21. They all look great Joe. I really need to finish up my K5. Just a few more things to get it up and running...and, a few more accessories. @‌Rodney- The Blazer's grille comes with individual stickers for the insets. A real pain in the... Anyway, I guess either the stickers or stripping and detailing makes it work.
  22. I like the window backing trick. Guess I'll have to find window decal sets for all of mine so I can fill the center fuselage seam. I have a collection of commercial airliners to build myself. All of which I've flown on in the past.
  23. Is the kit right-hand drive as it shows on the box art? Never seen a RH drive Cobra...except as a kit car.
  24. I'm jealous. Still waiting, and waiting, and........
