Hi guys, Today I share with you my latest Cadillac Conversion/restauration. This is a Stretched limousine made from the 1979 Jo-Han's coupe Deville. I received the model in a decent shape but it needed a total restauration, as the previously made conversion was showing age and unaccurate doors and roof. Cause of its extra long wheelbase, It couldn't be treated as a "regular" series 75 limousine so I thought about a "Moloney-ish" conversion. This Cadillac received new sculpted door and windows design treatment, sculpted front and rear shock absorber lines, new higher roof with larger B and C pilars, opera lights, detailed interior, new chromes, new paint and hand made mirror finish, a 0.2mm black strip water decal, to get closer to an exclusive embassy style limousine. Hope you'll like it !

Here’s my Revell Cadillac lowrider! This kit was a blast to build and went together very well. My only gripe is the fit of the lower body cladding and chrome trim panels. It’s painted Tamiya TS-8 Italian Red for the body, with TS-45 Pearl White for the vinyl top and interior. I did the interior over black primer to give some shadows in the crevices, but after 4 coats it still looks kinda silver or light gray in person. It looks fine to me though. Vinyl top is painted over gray primer and is the color I was going for. Anyway I definitely plan on buying another one of these kits! I do wish they made this kit with a 2 in 1 stock option but I like the lowrider look too. I built this kit for my brother as a tribute to the ‘73 Coupe DeVille he and I both owned. That car was a similar bright red with a white top, white seats and black dash/carpet.

After reading the write ups here on the 1955 Cadillacs I decided i really needed one. I chose the Greenlight Series 60 in black just like in the Godfather movies. I also wanted it to fit right in size wise with the Welly drug store models which are also small(ish) and the Jada version would be way too big.

I'm not fond of the custom sun visor, but the interior shots might be useful... https://hearseforsale.org/cadillac/1959-cadillac-hearse-meteor/ This one might be a combination ambulance/hearse. Note the linoleum floor with what appear to be casket rollers. http://davidsclassiccars.com/cadillac/69738-1959-cadillac-mm-futura-hearse-ambulance-m-m.html

Hi guys. Here's a tribute to my own beloved 1973 Cadillac DeVille that I used to drive some years ago. I had a damaged 1973 Eldorado promo left that I wanted to restore with the exact same colours combination than my late DeVille. So here she is, with new paint and polished coats, interior wood-ish door panels, carpeting, white walls, front and rear fender shock absorber lines and detailed bumpers, detailed hood with thin gold lines. Scripts needs attention and I aslo need to find side mirrors, which is quite hard to do !. Anyway, hope that Caddy will please some of you. Cheers.

While I wait for some bmf for my copo build I pull out the 59 eldorado and put it on the work bench. Nothing special with this one. Basically a box stock build. Wired engine. Hot pink over black which will give it...well let me dig up a picture of a convertible I built a few years ago.

Hi guys ! Sharing with you my newest build. Made from a damaged JoHan's 1971 Coupe Eldorado promo, this convertible is starting a new life. New metallic paint and clear coats, new wheels and white walls, detailed interior and dash, soft boot, etc... After a long sleep rusting in a barn, the caddy now enjoys the quite roads of Route 66 . A special thanks for the beautiful diorama made from a talented friend of mine. Times are hard now, so keep safe everybody. Cheers !

I would not have anticipated buying any more Jada diecasts until this 1/24 1947 Cadillac Series 62 convertible with an up top and almost normal wheels popped up on my radar. It came today and I am glad to have gotten it though I am not sure what the appeal is.

Hi guys....Here's a family picture of the Cadillacs I have converted, built, restored this year...Many new ones on the plans for 2020. Hope to be able to have the time to make them all.

Hi Guys, Sharing with you the first "light" restoration/conversion of the year. I had this Jo-Han's 1972 Cadillac Promo in decent body condition but the paint had some scratches, especially on the roof. After some paint clean-up, I decided to build it with an option that Cadillac was offering that year, the Custom Cabriolet edition, a half padded vinyl roof option on Eldorado models, with curved edges wrapped around the B pillar's side base. In comparison, the "regular" Eldorado Coupes had the entire roof covered with vinyl, with straight edges on the B pillar. I have detailed the interior with a new color, carpeting, "wood-ich" door panels, dashboard, etc. For the exterior, Bare Metal foil everywhere of course, some X-tra thin white decals on hood, new Cadillac emblem, front and rear black rubber bumper stops were added, new larger white walls, specific and accurate hubcaps for the model-year. ( In fact, 1972 Jo-Han's Cadillac promos were offered with the 71's Cadillac hubcaps, which are different from 1972 ). This 8.2L V8 baby needs some work again on chromes and I am still trying to find a source for int/ext. mirrors though... Anyway, not a mind blowing conversion here but at least some inconditional love for one of my favorite Cadillac model ever. Hope you'll like it.

Today I share with you my last build, a Cadillac of course. It's a Page Resin kit, probably converted from the Fleetwood 1962 made by Johan. As it's not a mass produced kit and it is made by hand, it needs a fair amount of preparation to get the final assembly right. Overall the kit's quality is very good, comes complete with chassis, glass and bumpers but no chrome plated parts... so as it is now impossible to find someone or a company trustworthy enough to offer this service, I had to use an old wrapped JoHan donor for the chromes. These "Deville" series have never been made by Johan ( who made only Fleetwoods ) so the roof line as well as the B pillar are totally new and correct for that series, and the horizontal strips above the rear bumper as also new and accurate. Hope you'll like it ! Cheers !

https://www.newcadillacdatabase.org/static/CDB/Dbas_txt/V16_ndx.htm Just about everything you could want to know about Cadillac's V-16 model. It includes, technical specs, history, and a list of surviving V-16s, with photos. Lots of inspiration if you're doing a Jo-Han Cadillac, or any classic car.

Hi Guys ! Here I would like to introduce you to my Cadillac Escalade. The model is by Revell USA in 1:25 scale. A nice construction kit, but in which the engine is shown only from below in the bottom plate. There are decals for different types of decorative stiffeners, the attachment requires patience. In addition, the kit has two different sets of wheels. Greetings to all from Jan

Hi guys ! Sharing with you today this Jo-Han's 1969 Cadillac Deville convertible, my first build of 2019. It's a promo that I have converted into the convertible version, as Jo-Han never proposed this specific model. ( just the Coupe Deville and the Eldorado ). If I recall, I think I got that promo for 3 bucks about 15 years ago because it was totally damaged. Half of the roof was gone, such as A pillars and windshield. The body looked like a cat had chew big parts of it, was full of little dents and most of the original paint was scratched. I didn't know what to do with it at the time but I couldn't let it go, so I kept it and restored it. I have detailed the interior with carpet, wood-ish inside panels, created a soft boot and added front seat's headrests and wider white walls. For the colour, I tried to get as close as its original one, such as Sapphire blue Met. Still a few details to finish yet, such as antenna, scripts and mirrors but overall this is it. Hope you'll like it.

Hi guys ! This time again I am sharing with you my last transformation. Another Cadillac of course!. Last fall I discovered that Hasegawa had released a new version of their "Amercian 66" Series, ( including their Coupe Deville ) into a "lowrider" series. I jumped on the occasion to buy 2 kits in order to create from them a series 75 limousine. Hasegawa's kits are not as refine as the Jo-Han's Coupe Deville of the same year, but working from Johan's 66 Caddies is inconcevable to me, since these promos or kits are very rare and really expensive. And to be honest, Hasegawa's are really good to start from. So there she is !. Chassis, B,C and D pillars, interior including passengers compartment have been modified or created of course, as well as original wheelbase. Then, all the roof have been levelled up cause limos roof were higher than regular Deville series. I have added a "vinyle-ish" top option on my model, to make it even more rare, since most of the real 66 limos were not having it. Over the last 20 years, I have seen only one model conversion like this one, without the vinyle top. So, since no Cadillac limousines have ever been made by any kit manufacturer, I guess that my model is maybe unique. It's by far the most complicated transformation I have ever done. Hope you'll like it !

Hi guys ! Sharing today an old built, the Cadillac Coupe De Ville 1976 by Modelhaus. As these kits are ultra rare now I just regret to have built it at a time where my skills weren't as good as they are today. I could restore it completely though. I guess this Cadillac's still presentable and worth a few pics here, don't you think ? ...Ah, If only Revell would stop doing Customs and Lowriders to offer more old "stock" american cars !

Hi guys. This Cadillac is a Page Resin kit. The cast was very good but needed some prep. Originally looking more like a regular DeVille series, I've turned and built it into the Fleetwood series, with lower body trims added, a matching interior and a "Brougham-ish" upholstery. Definitely one of my favourite Cadillac in my collection.

Hi guys, Sharing with you today an old built, made by Modelhaus. This is the '61 Cadillac Coupe series 62. It's now very very rare and I regret I haven't buy more than one at the time, to make a convertible or an Eldorado from it. I built it around 10 years ago, not pristine but presentable, IMHO. I also regret, (and I am sure I'm not the only one here), that Modelhaus is not around anymore....the quality was excellent. I am glad that they made amazing hubcaps for that model, way better that what Jo-Han's made for its 1961 Fleetwood. Enjoy !

Hi ! Here is my very first Cadillac conversion, made a couple of years ago. JoHan only produced Eldorado Coupes from 1971 to 1976, so I took a old "76' Eldorado Rancher" kit to make this specific version. As 1978 would be the final year for the full sized Cadillac Eldorado, I wanted to make the highest trim level. The "Custom Classic" was very distinctive with its 2 tones exterior body and also a duo-tone pillowed leather interior ( done with clay ). 2000 Classics have been built that year, only 25 with a sunroof, like my version. I unfortunately couldn't get the exact same colours at the time I built the model ( Arizona Beige and Demitasse Brown Metallic ) but I tried to get as close as I could. As she's my first conversion, some mistakes here and there..., like a missing "Eldorado" script on the front edge of the hood. Rear bumper and taillights have been modified, as well as the rear window. Shock absorber fender and trunk lines sculpted. It was so fun to do though , but putting the 1mm black line decals on fenders ?....no so much !

Hi everyone, Here's a 1960 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz Convertible. This beautiful resin kit was created by Shawn Carpenter, based and converted from the Monogram-Revell 59 Eldorado. I built it at least 10 years ago. This is an extremely rare kit and at the time of purchase, it was already hard to find. Although she's presentable, that Cadillac will receive a complete restauration, as my skills were so-so back then. Need a new paint, clear coat, cleaned windshield and new bare metal trims. I don't have any further informations on Shawn Carpenter nor its creations so if anyone of you have some, please feel free to share. Hope you'll like the pics. Cheers.

Hi everyone ! Here's one of the last conversion I have done in 2018. As JoHan Models have made Cadillac Fleetwood promos only from 1958 to 1962, since years and years I wanted so bad a 63 or 64 Fleetwood to add my Cadillac collection. So I started this one from the Convertible kit, and have used a old twisted donor model for the roof. Lower body trims are created with styrene rods and strips. Interior is not perfectly accurate, I am still learning ! She's almost done, some details to add, such as mirrors and scripts here and there... Hope you'll like it.

Hi, putting this pics into the good topic. Here's my personal conversion of a 1964 JoHan's Cadillac convertible into the Eldorado model. I am a beginner but I think the result is decent enough to share. Hope it'll please some of you. Thanks !

Should be out in October 2018:
