disabled modeler Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 Nice looking Cadillacs guys....the old Lincoln is not bad ether old school.
72 Charger Posted April 22, 2015 Author Posted April 22, 2015 That's wild Manuel I love it . I like how you tinted the windows and the rotted pipes . I bet it would sound like a tractor too
IceMan Collections Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 And now for something completely different ... Excellent Caddy. the set of longhorns, where are they from??
landman Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 I have four, all old builds. the '31 is being rebuilt now.
mustang1989 Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 (edited) Great thread Dave and great builds everyone!!! Mr. Moto: The weathering and attention to detail are first class!!!! Edited April 23, 2015 by mustang1989
mr moto Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 Excellent Caddy. the set of longhorns, where are they from?? Those are from the MPC "Chuck Wagon" show rod. They're oversized but pretty effective on a car as big as the Caddy.
mr moto Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 That's wild Manuel I love it . I like how you tinted the windows and the rotted pipes . I bet it would sound like a tractor too One of my uncles had a '59 Caddy when I was a kid and I remember the window tint was so deep that I felt like I was underwater when I rode in it. I had to capture that.
gtx6970 Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 The only Cadillac I have is still unbuilt. And I think its a 1931. But I am looking for a 1958 or 1959 now
Dave Van Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 (edited) One I have handy......a Caddy movie car....... Glued the doors closed to fit better. Added basic door handles. Die cast toy wheels and tires. I printed the tag. I like this kit warts and all. Edited April 23, 2015 by Dave Van
1959scudetto Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 Here are some old Cadillacs built in the mid 80's: JoHan's 1964 and 1968 kits and an 1958 X-El (ex-JoHan) promo which has been disassembled, repainted and foiled. The built kits will also receive some polishing treatment and bare metal foil too.
Eric Macleod Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 That '58 is awesome! Use an entire sheet of Baremetal foil on that one did you?
1959scudetto Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 That '58 is awesome! Use an entire sheet of Baremetal foil on that one did you? Well, almost - no, just kidding, but it was a nerve-wrecking experience to put all the chrome-foil onto the body...
