Jurva Posted June 21, 2015 Posted June 21, 2015 More Aoshima 350Z's. Now a Top Secret version. Mainly straight from box, except shift knob and exhaust tips. Tips are made from radio antenna.
KeithJackson Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 This looks really nice. I love the body color. I do have one question. Maybe it is just something that I don't know about. I was wondering why the Top Secret decal on the right side is backwards.

I was wondering why the Top Secret decal on the right side is backwards. It's like it's suppose to be. It's something what japanese tuning shops do. I don't know why.
djmcguire Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 A big trend with Japanese tuners is to do 'mirror image' graphics...no idea why but they've done it for years. What did you use for the gear sift knob?
Twokidsnosleep Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 Loving the body and especially wheel colours....very nice build!!!
Jurva Posted June 24, 2015 Author Posted June 24, 2015 I made bunch of those shifter knobs from clear styrene rods. Used drill as lathe. Some "machining" with hobby knife and sanding stick. Then polish and paint. I tried to find part trees with air bubbles inside to mimic the stuff that real knobs have inside.
djmcguire Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 Shift knobs look great and a very creative solution...excellent build.
