bbowser Posted July 6, 2016 Posted July 6, 2016 (edited) This one finally got completed the other night, it's been on (or under) the bench for a very long time. It was fiddly to build without a lot of locating points to help. I had to fudge the wheels quite a bit to get all 4 to sit on the ground. Anyway, here it is. Comments welcome as always, thanks for looking. Edited July 7, 2016 by bbowser incorrect title
'70 Grande Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 Really like this build! I know this kit is a challenging build, (I've been working on mine for over 7 years and still have a ways to go). Your great looking build might inspire me to pull it out again and restart my build. Nice job; your build is one of the best that I've seen of this kit!
Miatatom Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 Good job! I've built that one. It's tough. I'm also trying to finish the Watson Roadster and Lotus Ford that come in the Hall of Fame box. Hard builds.
ZTony8 Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 Looks great ! BTW it's a Team McLaren car,not a Penske.
bbowser Posted July 7, 2016 Author Posted July 7, 2016 Looks great ! BTW it's a Team McLaren car,not a Penske. You're absolutely right Tony, I've edited the title. This car models the one Johnny Rutherford drove to victory in 1974. Good job! I've built that one. It's tough. I'm also trying to finish the Watson Roadster and Lotus Ford that come in the Hall of Fame box. Hard builds. I've got those 2 as well, someday . After the fight I had with this one it might be awhile.
bbowser Posted July 9, 2016 Author Posted July 9, 2016 Pretty darn nice!! Q:what kit is this? MPC?Dann, yes it's the MPC kit. Came in the "Hall of Fame" trio with a Watson roadster and Jim Clark's Lotus. Not sure if they ever boxed it separately, I got this one off eBay without a box pretty reasonable.
bytownshaker Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 Glad you finished it!!! Don't remember seeing many of these Indy cars finished
