This one fought me all the way and then the decals declared UDI and joined the rebellion.  So I did the best I could with bits & pieces of left over NASCAR sheets.

This is my old AMT "Monza SS"  on it's second rebuild circa 1982. Painted with leftover '76 Corvette red enamel I used on my '73 Buick Centurion I painted that year. 

Inspiration came from a car that was in either Custom Rodder or Hot Rod magazine that year.  That's where I got the idea for the aluminum section in the rear wing. It had a small block with quad Webers. 

I think about redoing it every now'n then but don't know if I can get the thick 35 year old paint off.

What I think is AMAZING, is that you were actually able to properly paint those taillights!!!!!!!......the detail on them is faint, let alone trying to paint the red AFTER the whole piece has already been "filled-in" with body color.
