TarheelRick Posted November 28, 2017 Posted November 28, 2017 Not much more I can add to what has already been said. Your workmanship on this build is just outstanding. My Dad had a '57 Wagon (regular 4 door) that had been originally owned by a candy salesman, it had bumper stickers for Baby Ruth and Butterfinger. Something like that might add to this already awesome build. Even though this is one beautiful factory stock, visions of a 2X4 283 with headers and 7 inch slicks keep running through my head.
Curt Posted November 28, 2017 Posted November 28, 2017 That's fantastic, Cliff. It really takes you back to see the kind of iron that was on the street back then. Love it!
DRIPTROIT 71 Posted November 28, 2017 Posted November 28, 2017 I'm usually not a big 57 Chevrolet fan, but this one is right up my alley. I like the plane Jane, 6 cylinder choice. Excellent work!! It's hard to believe that it is diecast.
El Caballo Posted November 28, 2017 Posted November 28, 2017 Well, I'll say I'm humbled by some of the talent on this board. This one goes to the nth detail.
6bblbird Posted November 28, 2017 Posted November 28, 2017 Astounding! That '57 is museum quality. WF
geemoney Posted November 30, 2017 Posted November 30, 2017 simply beautiful!! my first car was an orange 57 SD I miss it!!
89AKurt Posted December 14, 2017 Posted December 14, 2017 Awesome! My dad's father bought a new '57 Handyman wagon, just before I got old enough to drive, he traded it in for a '72 "Chevy" LUV (POS). That's why I got a '57 4 door wagon, which had the Stovebolt with the Powerglide. I repainted it the more green turquoise. Sorry, this model triggered me, in a good way. Thank you. Picture of his car brand new in the driveway.
RAMBENNA Posted December 14, 2017 Posted December 14, 2017 OH MAN THIS IS AWESOME, very nice job, you nailed it
Geno Posted December 14, 2017 Posted December 14, 2017 Cliff, you rocked it my friend. I hope to see this one in person. Merry Christmas Buddy.
misterNNL Posted December 17, 2017 Posted December 17, 2017 Absolutely outstanding work. Building any base model in stock form is extremely difficult and you have it masterfully. Thanks for sharing.
damodelguy az Posted January 7, 2018 Posted January 7, 2018 very nice conversion, great attention to detail
