Another old one from beginning of this year

Jaguar XK 120 - Revell 07363

As i'm on the trip of Cars from yesturday and old Revell kits, it was always a "must-have-built-in-my-collection". I saw it painted and almost completed on the workbench of a good friend and changed my new kid with him. I had to finish it, make some details and painted the whitewalls. also i mounted the rear fenderskirts - i like it more than open wheelhouses. it gives him a smooth look.

Here it is:

My favourite automotive design. I agree with Geoff, it looks great in that colour, and I also think they look best with fender skirts.

Nice work on the Jag. It's hard to find a car with nicer, smoother lines than this one. The colour is period perfect and suits this build very well.

I have this kit on the bench, and I must say it is a much nicer kit than I first expected. It started out as a Monogram metal body kit, later issued in plastic under the Revell name. I expected chunky parts and a low parts count, but I was pleasantly surprised when I first opened the box. The only issue I have had so far is the fit of the bonnet.
