Dominik Posted November 14, 2018 Posted November 14, 2018 (edited) Another old one from beginning of this year Jaguar XK 120 - Revell 07363 As i'm on the trip of Cars from yesturday and old Revell kits, it was always a "must-have-built-in-my-collection". I saw it painted and almost completed on the workbench of a good friend and changed my new kid with him. I had to finish it, make some details and painted the whitewalls. also i mounted the rear fenderskirts - i like it more than open wheelhouses. it gives him a smooth look. Here it is: Thank you for attention, comments welcome as always Edited November 14, 2018 by Dominik
GeeBee Posted November 14, 2018 Posted November 14, 2018 Very nice, superb paintwork, the colour suits the old Jag'
peekay Posted November 14, 2018 Posted November 14, 2018 My favourite automotive design. I agree with Geoff, it looks great in that colour, and I also think they look best with fender skirts.
Eric Macleod Posted November 15, 2018 Posted November 15, 2018 Wow. Beautiful. I'd never thought of this color but yes, it works. Very nice.
Hard_2_Handle_454 Posted November 15, 2018 Posted November 15, 2018 Excellent color choice. You always see them in white and never another color.
58 Impala Posted November 15, 2018 Posted November 15, 2018 Nice. I've started that kit, it's about 1/2 done. Been in limbo for several years. I have to finish it.
vintagercr Posted November 15, 2018 Posted November 15, 2018 I have always loved that styling. Nice build
Red318 Posted November 15, 2018 Posted November 15, 2018 A kit you don't often see, really nice build. The interior is perfect.
Gramps46 Posted November 15, 2018 Posted November 15, 2018 Oh what a sweet build. I built one as the Le Mans white #17. Thanks for sharing the photos.
Bainford Posted November 15, 2018 Posted November 15, 2018 Nice work on the Jag. It's hard to find a car with nicer, smoother lines than this one. The colour is period perfect and suits this build very well. I have this kit on the bench, and I must say it is a much nicer kit than I first expected. It started out as a Monogram metal body kit, later issued in plastic under the Revell name. I expected chunky parts and a low parts count, but I was pleasantly surprised when I first opened the box. The only issue I have had so far is the fit of the bonnet.
larman Posted November 16, 2018 Posted November 16, 2018 Love it! Beautiful color, I have always thought 120's are near perfection, design wise.
Dominik Posted November 16, 2018 Author Posted November 16, 2018 Thank you very much for your feedback and Trevor, for some background!
Cpt Tuttle Posted November 17, 2018 Posted November 17, 2018 One of my dream cars, they are so beautiful, and your build really does the styling justice.
