A few new Round 2 kit coming out ......

I think the latest regular Peterbilt 352 Pacemaker without the Coke decals came in 2012-13 and the Coca Cola kit came 2017, something has happened with the kit prices the last 5-6 years.
Labour and material isn't free even in China and the transportation has gone up and then you have the exchange rate and how it is at the time the kits arrive and what margin the wholesaler has and the LHS will also take out a margin so they can make somekind of profit and stay in business.
We have the same problem in Sweden.

The same time - as in released at the same time. Not comparing previous releases to current ones. Round2's prices have constantly slid up with truck kits being MSRP'd at $47 last year, $49 this year and $52 for some kits that will be out in 1Q 2020.

Unfortunately the container trailer is a European style with spread axle bogie and the kingpin quite far back and not the American style wich would have been more suitable for American trucks...but that can be changed.

Yes, it can be changed and quite easily also.

I used an AMT Freuhauf flatbed tandem as a guide (since the chassis is a Freuhauf also) and cut the front axle and springs and relocated them to make a more standard American chassis tandem and some spoke wheels from the parts box.

A little relocation of the kingpin to set the entire chassis and trailer back from the cab and looks fine behind an American truck.

In my opinion, I find it unbelievable that this old Revell trailer fom the 80's has been re-released.

What I also find a bit strange is that this trailer was originally a 1/25 scale, and now with this re-issue, as a 1/24 get sold.

This scale 1/25 was intended for the 1/25 European trucks, like the Revell Volvo Globetrotter and the Mercedes Benz 1628, both also from the 80's.

Anyway, the modified examples that I see here in this topic look a lot better than the old-fashioned axle spread, which we no longer have here in Europe for ages.

I don't think Revell ever had the molds,  the Revell issue is most likely a straight rebox of the Italeri kit.
Revell Germany has issued several Italeri kits over the years.

I had that Revell issue.  The only difference vs. the Italeri kits was that the Revell version had hollow rubber tyres (which perished after a few years ? ).

You may be right, I am not sure exactly how the situation was at that time.

Indeed, and often the decals at Revell are more extensive and, in my opinion, also nicer.

In some cases the Revell kits are also priced more competitively than those from Italeri, at least in our region .

The decals in my P&O container trailer from italeri had Cartograf decals they look very nice !

Yes Revell did put in other tires and they did not hold up well over time, the Italeri version had two piece plastic tires.
I have a couple of old Revell builds where the hollow rubberfront tires collapsed under the weight of the cab.

Wow, I do need a few more though. It will be interesting to see if it has the optional wheels and flares from the Bigfoot kit.

I just want them to bring the regular pickup kits back out again, rather than continually reissuing the monster truck version. Plus the fact that it's yet another Coca Cola branded kit.
