BeakDoc Posted May 31, 2020 Posted May 31, 2020 My initial goal was to build a historically accurate representation of one of Bill’s three original Little Red Wagons. I researched the subject to the point that research was becoming counterproductive. Given the limitations (the kit’s, the amount of resources I was willing to put into it, and, the confidence I have in my own skill level) what I came away with is an amalgamation of the three originals and the modern tribute/exhibition version with some artistic liberty sprinkled in. The paint is Duplicolor Inferno Red over Tamiya pink primer with MM Ultra Gloss clear. The injection stacks are the metal ones from MPC’s ‘75 Corvette Roadster. The wheels are from the parts box and if memory serves, came from the Monogram ‘39 Chevy Coupe kit. I wired the engine, ran some basic lines from the moon tank and scratched out the parachute rip cord. I also shaved the drip rail and omitted the exterior door handles. Comments, tips, pointers and critique are always welcome and appreciated. Thank you for looking.
cobraman Posted May 31, 2020 Posted May 31, 2020 Looks a lot better than the two I built years ago. Nice work.
majel Posted July 3, 2020 Posted July 3, 2020 That's a great job, nice clean build and the paint looks fantastic!
raylinds Posted July 9, 2020 Posted July 9, 2020 Very nice. I always had a fondness for this cool exhibition car.
