majel
From the pictures it looks like it came out nice. It's always disappointing when we finish a model and aren't happy with the results. I guess that's how we learn and it's what keeps us building. There's always the next one.....

cobraman
Thanks fellows. You are so right ! I always have a vision on how my model should turn out but there is always something that just messes up . Always my fault. Paint and final assembly are my two biggest problems it would seem. Plowboy
I think you did well with it Ray. No model is perfect. There always seems to be that one thing that comes up. At least you managed to push through and get it finished. I understand your disappointment with what your vision was and what it came out like. My last build was like that. I'm still not happy with the way it came out. Sometimes, it's best to just move on and chalk it up as a lesson learned.

Phildaupho
What a pleasant surprise when I opened up your post expecting to see a sow's ear but found a yellow silk purse. Looks very nice in the photos and I am sure in the display case. I was just checking out what I hope will be my next project - a 1/24 GT40 MKI

sflam123
In my opinion you did an excellent job on this. Don't be so hard on yourself!! We all wish we could do better on about every model we finish. As the builder, we see the mistakes we make, the shortcomings in fit and finish and all the errors. To me it looks like you did a heck of a job on this build. You should be proud!

1959scudetto
What the others said, Ray - you did a very fine job in building this kit that obviously has its issues. The yellow Whitmore/Gardner entry had a very attractive livery and it looks very much like the real thing. Remember, race cars back in the 60's were not at all perfect so don't worry about fitting problems and some other issues that only you know - it might even add to reality.
