DRIPTROIT 71 Posted March 30, 2023 Posted March 30, 2023 This was built on an AMT Chevrolet Titan chassis. It is powered by a 903 Cummins. The casting was pretty rough, probably an amateur copy of the old Jamar fuberglass cab. The drive tires are my last Clint Freeman tires. 8
Rockford Posted March 30, 2023 Posted March 30, 2023 The casting doesn't look rough anymore! What a great looking rig. Well done.
vincen47 Posted March 31, 2023 Posted March 31, 2023 Like I said on the MTB forum, the weathering is spot-on. Perfect amount of dust and grime from the road. 5th wheel grease is awesome, too.
1959scudetto Posted March 31, 2023 Posted March 31, 2023 Absolutely great build of a no-nonsense typical fleet truck, Brian: Outstanding weathering - dust and grime - makes it look so realistic (also the absence of chrome bling-bling like vertical exhaust pipes and the like) Very well done!
Warren D Posted March 31, 2023 Posted March 31, 2023 I wouldn't know it was resin if you didn't say it was. Great look! Is that the AITM battery box/airtank? I've been looking for a bunch of them.....

Thanks Warren!! The battery box is styrene from the parts box, but I don’t remember what kit it came from.
Ace-Garageguy Posted April 1, 2023 Posted April 1, 2023 Good looking truck. Man, that's fine...everything about it.
tractoraholic Posted April 1, 2023 Posted April 1, 2023 Nice looking tractor, I really like the used fleet look you give to your trucks.
cifenet Posted April 2, 2023 Posted April 2, 2023 This is very convincing and I like how gradually the tone of red changes from bottom to top. Thanks for sharing this, it is beautiful.
Bainford Posted April 7, 2023 Posted April 7, 2023 I love checking out your builds. Always a high degree of realism and interesting subject matter. This one certainly fills the bill. The weathering is spot on. Beautiful work.
leafsprings Posted April 8, 2023 Posted April 8, 2023 Fantastic job on this Road Commander! You have perfected the "in from the long haul look".

My process is usually trial and error, often heavy on the error, but I was pretty happy with how this one turned out. On 4/3/2023 at 7:57 AM, k100 said: Great job Brian , very realistic looking .
