Harry P. Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 This is a 1/16 scale 1914 Dennis fire truck. Lots of scratchbuilt parts, including the ladders (made of real wood) and many other details added. Thanks to Dan Baker for the "spare," and Charlie Rowley for the custom decals. WIP here if you're interested.
cobraman Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 That turned out fantastic ! Very nice work. You going to finish that beautiful airplane now ? : )
Danno Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 Spectacular build, Harry! Glad I could help, even in such a very small way.
PappyD340 Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 FABULOUS Masterpiece indeed, followed this one from the git-go and with all your added scratch built detail you made this one truly come to life. KUDOS Harry!!
Chris White Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 its absolutely beautiful, but what's up no mirrors ???
Harry P. Posted November 23, 2013 Author Posted November 23, 2013 its absolutely beautiful, but what's up no mirrors ??? Firemen don't care what's behind them, only what's in front of them. No windshield, either. No A/C, no cruise control, not even heated seats! Those guys had to rough it back then! (although I think they kept a bottle of scotch in one of the storage bins...)
Alyn Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 Your red paint really laid down nice. Looks great with the gold trim. Let's go start a fire and see how she does !
