  8. For me modelling is a time vs. a reward issue. I don't have a lot of time to devote to building models, and at some point I have to complete them or too much builds up on the workbench. Or worse, I start to lose parts. I will put an engine in a model if it comes with one. I will paint it the proper color, but I do not wire or plumb it. I will do some basic detail to a chassis, but once again will not get carried away. I display my models on a shelf with the hoods down, so detail in the engine bay or the chassis will not be seen. One of my most recent builds turned out to be a curbside. It was a Jo Han AMX. The engine and transmission were warped and there was a serious gap where the sides glued together. The amount of time it was going to take to fix was not worth it, so it became a curbside. A picture is below.
  9. The model looks fabulous!

  12. Real Nice. The paint work on both is really outstanding!
  13. Nice work John! Those Delta 88 kits were among the best Monogram made. They went together well and there was not fiddling with the stance. They looked low and mean right out of the box.
  14. Dann, you did a superb job on this kit!
  15. Really outstanding work. You did a great job!
  16. Nice looking model! Certainly don't have problems with CO2 emissions with this one.
  17. Excellent work!

  20. If you are doing trim work, look for the fine tips. As far as applying it, use minimal strokes. The ink will remove itself if you go over an area too many times before letting it dry. Sometimes you have to give the area a couple of coats for good coverage. Hope this helps.
  21. If it were me doing this paint scheme, I would follow Steven's advice. The difference being for me is that I would paint the red, mask it then paint the silver. The problems I have had with some silvers is that the masking tape would pull some of the pigment off. It would not pull an entire layer of paint like some of us are accustomed to, but would pull off perhaps a little bit of the paint here and there leaving a silver painted area, but it was very splotchy.
  22. You put a lot of work into the model and it shows. Great job!
