  1. added that pc of styrene to flush up the rear with the back of the dually fenders that actually works well will get pic asap doing some filler and sanding as well
  2. thats cool! altho I will admit my first thought was oh no someone dropped their part in the sand outside whilst the paint was still wet!!
  3. I did not know that...... Bet will smith had a blast! driving that machine
  4. other option mite be to "clip" off the very back very small section hanging off the back, and simply putty, or add a small pc. of styrene and blend the fender lines to match the back edge of the van and the lines..... Hmmmm naw ya'll got me thinking again here we Gooooooo
  5. the fenders do slightly hang over in the back i'm going to somehow incorporate some sort of styrene panel to "blend" the fenders together and into the van and smoothe things together debating custom rear tail lamps or not....... it is after all a "custom" van I decided via help of the ford forums community that the van will have a slight lift not too much, tho
  6. Sure will Benny Tom I will search around and see if theres a pic of before i started with these 2 ruffigan vans, most folks woulda tossed up hands and been in the wanted section looking for van bodies these gluebombs were that bad i lost cound of how many layers of paint there were i've used 3 different methods and that all i could get down to, tried purple power, tried bleach white, and brake fluid to no dismay this is all the farther i go on stripping after the putty goes on and gets smoothed and sanded i'll be throwing down the primer and see how bad it looks..... as long as its barely noticeable i'mm rolling with it, i'm just going for my satisfaction i'm not a complete perfectionist
  7. thanks everyone debated on doing tire wear especially on the big tires of the rear, but they looked too nice to wear down
  8. wow anything i build in white usually looks like cream color after that many years with cracks in it! the model is a beauty standing the test of time
  9. I honestly thougt it was real at first glance very cool model!!
  10. this ones a beauty! I am cringing at myself as i'm a Ford man its got chevy power, "corvette" valve covers
  11. The Dually vam is going to be root beer brown, going to have swing out side doors instead of traditional slider door on the mpc 1/25 vans, swing doors are constructed from the front doors of a 3rd scrap van body, the fender flares for dualy conversion are from a 56 ford flareside p/u box from the parts bin the passenger side had to have a notch made into it to allow door to open, 2nd glue bomb van now in primer (still needs body work) will be the orange color laquer, and will have the keep on truckin van murals on its sides i opened the passenger front door and slider door on the 2nd van all comments welcome will update as often as i can with progression
