MsDano85gt replied to MsDano85gt's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
i had a glue bomb bed, so the sides were scarred up bad (melted in a couple spots) so i got my junklot p/u stuff out had some non dually bed sides (lt blue) plastic i cut and spliced the parts together to make decent bed without the melted glue spots....... -

MsDano85gt replied to MsDano85gt's topic in WIP: Model Cars
got some paint done on this one (purple) 2 tone with silver ground effects will try and get updated pic real soon i found this to be great "RE" use of old parts since i borrowed heavily from the 87-93 gt mustang amt body's so i mixxed the older front grill i removed from old body 79-86' and mixxed it with the leftover front compound headlamps of the 87-93 style kinda like the way it came out will get pics -

yes j-10's and j-20's my Dad had a j-10 which was a v6 motor with standard shift tranny 4x4 thinking of carefully removing the motor so i can go ahead and wire this guy for that little extra realism and detail -
jeep CJ7
MsDano85gt replied to MsDano85gt's topic in Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
thinking of carefully removing the engine on this guy so I can add some ignition wires I feel so foolish for not taking the time to put them on whilst I was building her -
1984 annivarsary fox mustang convertable

if your capri's are v8's (which i'm assuming they are) i have spare "RS" looking front valences from the mpc mustang kits that glue up perfectly to the revell capri kits front ends to give that v8 "rs" look 5.0 look instead of the plain jane 2.3 turbo front also the 3 pc spoilers work well too on the revell kits from the mpc kits..... like someone mentioned to me on my capri post when i mentioned something about bubble back hatch about using glass from a tuner car like acura or something, vw beetle something with a curved rear glass..... carved to fit -

looks triangular in shape? i wonder if theres a triangle styrene that small that can fit into the kits door channel (it is pretty wide) on the model kit on the side doors....... Time to get creative for the name of mostly Accurate "accuracy" -

MsDano85gt replied to mnwildpunk's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
yeah society has become rather pathetic when it comes to patriotism! when A guy no arrows pointed ME <-------------------- does 5 honorable years in the service Gets sent to Iraq against my will ( I wish noone to get sent there) gets out of the service and tries to get a Job with Lowes and Home Depot and they choose some young girl outta high school that can flirt and bad her eyelashes real good over a Guy that spent 5 honorable years in the military Gets out And Noone seems to want to Hire.....Makes you wonder........ Seems like nowdays a military background dosn't mean Beans to most companys...... its as tho they veiwed one as "overqualified" or something to that matter? -

the svo rub strips are very similar to the 85/86 gt?? if so regardless anyways i do have svo kits a plenty so i should be able to easily swap some of those in, as far as the rest of the car i guess easiest way to fix would be to fill in the rub strips and smooth them out?? thank you for pointing that out guess that means mpc's accuracy of 1984 annivarsary cars were slightly off then -
thank you! one will be given to a fellow friend her on mcm "Reptile guy" Nick Rizzo great guy! hes a fan of snakes its only fitting! That may be because these are kits from the 1980's!! lol
