  1. Pretty cool truck, but, just because a kit was not issued with different decals does not make it a Ghost kit. Sorry.
  2. Connie Ewards owned the stash of Spanish built ME-109's, aka Buchons, that he acquired when they finished filming The Battle Of Britain movie. He also scored a Spitfire and a few others. Recently decided to sell the collection off.
  3. I think one of the big factors is that the model companies have finally stabilized and are selling kits steadily. One must remember that for some time all the model companies where in a state of flux and seemed to be almost at the verge of failing. Most of it could probably be attributed to the fact that they where owned by companies that had many other interest besides model kits. Now the model companies are doing what they have done for years, concentrate on models only! And yes, we are in a very special time in Model Kit history. The new and the old have merged and we seem to be getting the best of both worlds. New tools and vintage re-issues some of us thought we would never see again. Incredible materials to build with and create, from parts to decals, we almost have become our own model shops! But I do agree with Harry, it is a bummer to see Hobby Shops go by the wayside.
  4. Very nice and clean!
  5. Overall, it looks good. Hopefully they will eventually do a white plastic version. But, for the doing the Tomato, red plastic is fine. Thanks for the Preview, Chuck!
  6. I always wanted one to complete my collection. What will you trade for?
  7. Ratsun!
  8. The biggest visual difference is the top water hose. The Cleveland goes into the from timing cover and the Windsor goes into the from of the intake manifold. And the Windsor has six bolts holding the valve covers while a Cleveland has eight. In scale, you would not be able to really tell the differences
  9. Gasser type cars are currently more in vogue than vintage custom show cars
  10. Well, I hope you are not dying to get it!
  11. Very nice! I really like that color!
  12. Is that why there is a sudden surge of sales on certain vintage kits?
  13. If any model company, not just Round 2, is going to be putting stuff up for vote, they better do after they have confirmed they have the molds. And in the case of new kits, that they are really going to do it. Far too many times they we out appetites with promises, just to leave us out in the cold, again! To be quite honest, in recent years they have re-released some stuff that I thought I would never see new on the shelves again. So I do give them credit for that.
  14. Holds the Clutch Pedal while the car is towed or pushed around.
  15. Vaya Con Dios! And thanks for the Memories!
  16. From what I know, that is the only version of the car. The MPC kit was not accurate to begin with and looks like it has been properly corrected. I have never seen a single picture of the car in a magazine from that era or any info on the car actually racing. I heard it tried to qualify, but, no race results.
  17. Went into Hobby Lobby with no expectation of finding it and voila! It was there! Grabbed one and will most likely go back for another one. Compared it to my original and it is very nice! The extra parts are really nice and will find their way onto other projects!
  18. Kleeeeenn!!!!!
  19. Yeah, the Street Vette became the SS hatchback. Could be, and should be, converted back to the Cal Vette
  20. I am so tired to those fake spindle mount front spoke wheels from E.T. But, at least it doesn't have Red Steel Wheels!!
  21. That is a fine looking machine! I remember when one of our neighbors got one, it was pretty snazzy! Came with some decal package from the dealer on a slightly metallic red paint job. It ruled the roost, until someone bought a Le Car!
  22. No, criticism is fine and should be encouraged, but, when it starts getting insulting, that is when it gets out of hand. Calling those who are willing to get it, despite the so called flaws, not that smart, then it gets a bit irritating and thus starting a the whole mess, again and again and again. I honestly don't care! I will buy what I want and build it, or just throw it on the piles! Junk or not!
