  1. I think the kit was originally this kit, which to my understanding was not stock at all. But I could be wrong.
  2. The Galloping Ghost II should be a long wheelbase car and the Cosmic Charger or the Young American chassis should be more correct. They used the Ramchargers car for the kit and is correct for the first version of the car, not the second. A re-release with the correct decals would be much better Galloping Ghost I (Blue and Silver Car) Galloping Ghost II
  3. That is nice, I really like that look. Great build!
  4. A terrible kit for a terrible trend Formerly known as this...
  5. Great work as usual, Drew! Can't wait to see it done!
  6. I'll just leave this right here.......
  7. Instead of suggestions, I will tell you what I have and how I like it. My airbrush is a Badge 150 Dual Action airbrush internal mix. It is pretty reliable and easy to clean, once you get used to it, and the dual action feature really helps control how much paint I want on something. A new once cost about $100 or so. For a compressor, i use a Grex AC1810-A. Prior to this unit, I had a totally home made one using an industrial type from Grainger with a pressure regulator and moisture trap. This one has it all included. The Grex has an automatic on and off feature which is nice, You can leave it on and it will only run when it is in use or if the pressure drops while it is idle. It cost about $200 If you have friends with airbrushes, ask them for their opinions and if possible, see if they will let you use them to get a fee for them. Good luck!
  8. Got to see this other clone at JCCS 2015, along with John Morton, parked near the Nissan display. As for the chrome trim, after a few races that went away due to the windshield having to be replaced a few times. Either way is correct, but, for ease of building, leaving off that detail would be easier. Also, this engine has been built as close to the original as possible, so colors are pretty correct. Here are a couple of more pics
  9. Very nice build! Too bad they did not include a roof rack for some slicks and stuff
  10. Very nice and clean build! I like the stance on it
  11. Every time I sell kits, I will wheel and deal just so I don't have to drag it home!! Sometimes someone will pick up a kit, and then put it down and start walking away. I will ask why are they not getting it and they will tell me that the price is more than they want to pay, so I tell them to give me an offer, 99.9% of the time I will take it!! I know plenty of guys who have the same stuff at every show and will not budge on their prices. And trust me, I will call them out on it and they just don't care and often say the same thing, "these are rare and out of production and that is what they are going for on ebay", so I tell them to put them on ebay and stop clogging up the shows! Also, some of the pricing seems to be regional, certain kits will command higher prices in certain areas, from what I see on the boards in postings like this.
  12. This thread has officially jumped the shark
  13. Wow, I guess I better start snapping them up around here! Those Matadors usually only go anywhere from $10 to $15.
