  1. Thank you!
  2. Here is the list from this weekends Hot Rod Reunion Twilight Memorial of folks who have passed since last years reunion.
  3. How large is the iron on?
  4. I have plenty of serious kits in my collection, but, there is always room for my childhood. Yeah, I am still a big kid with kits! As advertised before, don't like it? Don't buy it! And for the why? Because there is either a demand or this may be one of the few tools that still work with little dough.
  5. Wow, that looks really cool! A regular Revell Chassis with the basic 426 should do the trick!
  6. I painted mine orange after the restored car images. It is sitting in its box, I doubt anyone can tell!
  7. Wow, we where just talking about him yesterday at the Hot Rod Reunion. I guess his heart just couldn't hang on anymore. Vaya Con Dios, Blue Max!
  8. I like wacky show rods. Had fun with them when I was a kid, so yes, it is mostly a nostalgia thing for me and they are not for everyone.
  9. I like the MPC flip nose kits, mainly because I thought they where really cool back when I was a kid, but they do build nicely when you take your time with them. Yes, they are finicky and not all that great fitting, but, they look ok when done.
  10. Took a look at my Cosmic Charger kit and the chassis is basically the same, but, it is only half the chassis! The front section is just like the YM car, but the back half of the chassis are separate pieces that are part of the interior tin. This is not just basically the YM car with a different body. Hope they still can release it again!
  11. This a really cool build! Nice work!
  12. Yeah, that is a great build. He started with pretty much a gutted shell and turned into this total show stopper. Yes, the headlamps really made it interesting. What part of town where they in? Don, take a look here http://www.hlj.com/scripts/hljlist?GenreCode2=Aut&Word=flares&x=16&y=18
  13. One of the Japanese kit makers makes these flares and other bozo style parts. I forget who, but they had sets of them on Hobby Link Japan for some time. As for a list of kits, go shopping around on ebay for them to get a good idea or find someone who is really into these kits. This is a friend of mines Skyline Kenmeri at JCCS this year
  14. The chassis is basically the same as the Young American, but still unique enough for this car. And the Galloping Ghost car is the same chassis as the Ramchargers car, but, this version of the car should be using the same one as the young American as it was a long wheelbase car.
  15. Wow, nice job! Love the color and stance Maybe the critics should build them, like you did, and then critique the kit
  16. I believe the Vette version had a solid lifter cam and better exhaust. This is just from some info that stuck to my brain from reading mags back in the 80's, so please don't quote me.
  17. Way better than Barris! I dig it!
  18. Nice! I need to pick one up
  19. Thanks for using black plug wires THAT DON"T LOOK LIKE AN ANGRY SPIDER!
  20. Looks like a really fun build!

    Very nice and clean!
  22. Feast your eyes! http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=88915&hl=revellion http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=88319&hl=revellion Or did you mean Revellution? http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=69548 As for the Phony Pony, you will have to use a Tony Nancy Double Dragster kit with an aftermarket resin body and decals.
  23. Models fall under Crafts. Not toys. So go learn needle point, I am sure your doillies will be much more accurate than Revell models. Now everyone put on some big boy pants and move on. This sort of posting is getting old really fast.
  24. Piranha decals. On the left, aftermarket decals from Whoopie Kat and on the right, the AMT issued decals.THESE ARE FOR THE DRAG CAR!!! Hopefully if AMT should re-issue it, they can fix these decals
