  1. Maybe they are making them because they are not making any money off Lindberg sales?
  2. Thanks for the tutorial, Mark! And that blue chassis pic, is that what I think it is?
  3. In the Star Wars behind the scenes documentary that came in the Blue Ray set, they talk about building the models and how they would keep running back to the hobby shops to get more models for parts. The concept X WIng Fighter was build using mainly Revell 1/16 Scale Dragster parts. Pretty cool stuff.
  4. /\ That Matra would have been awesome!
  5. I use Photobucket and have not had a problem. Maybe it's a Fotki problem
  6. The local Oldies station is now playing mostly 80's Music, yes, we are getting old. Nothing new.
  7. Check out Competition Resin's version http://www.compresins.com/site/751597/product/CR-2010
  8. Actually, you could use those kits body panels with a Tommy Ivo chassis for the correct wheelbase. This car came out in '68 and is a Woody Gimore Chassis car. Or just cut down the JA or Garlits cars.
  9. Cool, but, are the rims the same all the way around?
  10. Great build! But, the only thing I have to point out is the injector hat face and butterflies where painted black on the real car. Garlits didn't want the competition to know how much he was opening it up when he launched! Otherwise, great build!
  11. Man, you are just knocking them out! Very nice companion to your other builds!
  12. Knocked it out of the ball park! Very nice build!
  13. Wow! It came out great!
  14. OK, this is thread just needs to be shut down. This guy is going full blown pie in the sky with this. Only model geeks and old guys remember that car and most just don't care. Most of the attraction to this kit now is for how rare it has become and not due to fond memories of it. I never had one and was not even born when it was built! I just want one for the sheer curiousity of it! So, if anyone wants to sponsor me to go to Hawaii and surf, start sending me money!
  15. I think the question is, will all the Model King issues be eventually re-issued by Round 2, right?
  16. Someone asked about bikes in small scale, not what we prefer.
  17. Then simple, not enough are showing up to justify a class for them
  18. Putting on a show is not rocket science, it is mostly logistics. You have to able to adjust on the fly as things never quite work out the way you plan them, most of the time. Always plan for crazy and be happy with semi-normal Cost of shows is always there and if you are going to get in financial trouble, then don't have a show. Most of our sponsors don't really care what category their money is used on, most just want to contribute and have their name mentioned when the awards are presented. Most of the time when sponsors ask for specific categories we give them out on a first come first serve basis and they know they may not get them unless arrangements have been made in advance. Yes, we have had to combine categories and sometimes we even split them due to the a high number of entries or lack of entries. No one has complained about it to this day.
  19. That is pretty cool!
  20. Looks cool, but I have a problem here, WE NEED MORE PICS!
