  1. Thanks Dominik and Gary. Dominik - After taking what I needed from the junk 58 I couldn't help but play around with a set of rims at my desk at the time and it looked really good. I neatened it up a bit and a few spare parts and 70 GTS hood vents for the sides and there you have it. It was a lot better than what I was going to do with it (take parts that were good and parts box the rest). Gary I will find the pics (if I have any) of the dash while I converted it. I am currently working on the rear lights "gullwing" shape and making it to the Biscayne style. I will have pics tomorrow.
  2. Thanks everyone. I might give those metallizer paints a go when (if ever) I get the body to the paint stage.
  3. What are the Modelhaus ones called? Modelhaus doesn't seem to give you a picture of what your buying...
  4. Beautiful, just what i needed. Thanks a lot, these are perfect.
  5. I am after a set like this: I know there are a similar set in resin but i dont know where to get them. I did buy a set (resin) from a site 2 or 3 months ago but I have not heard back or got them in the mail yet.... I would appreciate any help. Thanks in advance.
  6. I am in need of some reference pics of a 58 Chevrolet Biscayne (4 door if possible) stock interior. I cant find a good shot of the door cards or of the seats, if anyone has pics of one or has an actual 1:1 Biscayne and wouldn't mind snapping a few pics it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
  7. Thanks everyone. I'm not sure about the tail light area yet I'm kinda avoiding that for now. Here's how i did the roof: an old build up: i cut the roof away to make this: Then cut a small section of the impala roof and added the other roof which was a bit longer than the piece i cut out (5 scale inches i think) and then lots of sanding.
  8. Thanks everyone. Nice work on yours Dominik, Its good to see pics of someone elses build as it will help me down the track. I work on my Delorean when I am taking a break or waiting for parts with my other builds. so its a project that will be slow going but will be well worth the time and work in the end.
  9. Here is a better pic before paint: Its poor quality but its the only other pic i have where the flash doesn't make it look really bright. Here it is now: I gave it a light polish to shine it up a bit: hope for more soon.
  10. Thanks Derick and Dirk. The roof was done by painting it flat black and then laying lace over it and spraying the gold. Here she is after the gloss black. Please excuse the mess, i need a desk clean up. Im still thinking about having gold bumpers, what do you guys think? Hope to have more soon.
  11. Thanks, while it might not look it the body is actually painted white. I will get a better pic soon. In the first pic the body is unpainted but the flash makes it look a bit bright...
  12. it will have opening doors trunk and hood and i plan on making it very detailed but as I'm working between 5 builds it could be a bit slow....
  13. Well i had a BTTF delorean that i did but i bought it as a built kit and rebuilt it and was never 100% happy with it... so I am rebuilding a rebuild and it will be stock.
  14. I am currently working on 5 cars so progress might be slow. hope to have more soon.
  15. I have been working on and off this for a couple of months, here is where I'm at now:
  16. Got this off ebay and will be making the best with what ive got.
  17. Oh, forgot to add... My plan is to paint it black with the gold laced roof (i used the same stuff as before when it was silver/white) and have gold BMF for the side trim and window surround and maybe gold bumpers.
  18. Giving this some fresh paint, the purple is pretty average and there were a few sink marks i didn't fix. So i will change colours and fix the imperfections in the body. while its in pieces i will show a pic of the interior, it has 67 impala seats because my 67 got the bench seats. basicly im just giving the body a respray so i wont be doing much to the chassis or interior.
  19. Ok i got something: The bodyline (top of rear doors) is gone from one side, the taillights are done and the lower trunk trim is done. Just needs the duster front and the side done and a final sanding and then i can lay down some colour. hope to have more soon.
  20. hope to have more soon.
  21. Its getting there, just a final smooth and fill the last of the imperfections and then the roof and sides are almost done.
  22. Very nice and clean conversion, i will be watching this closely.
  23. Beautiful, I'm loving that colour... What is it? Great detail, it looks super mean.
  24. Real Awesome work, they are all amazing and soo cool. My pick would be the 68 impala.
