  1. Looks great Dave.
  2. Nice progress, this is going to look great.
  3. Interesting idea, your bodywork is looking great.... I will be watching.
  4. The colour sure looks good, I like where this is going...
  5. Very cool, it looks good.
  6. Thanks everyone. I've got my foil so after work today it should have al the shiny
  7. Forgot to ad the hood got a lot of dust and dirt onto it some how and i had to sand it back, it should be painted soon if it stops raining.. anyway let me know what you think.
  8. ok... its picture time: More coming soon..
  9. Thanks everyone I got the bodywork done in a day and i spent most of the day spraying primer and sanding into shape and i got a bit carried away and painted it up without fixing the rear bumper to body shape as spkgibson suggested. but seeing as the paint came out good i wont be fixing it. Fred- the build of the Peterbilt i have seen and when the time comes that will prove a very helpful guide. The diorama base is going to be finished after the valiant, then i will just need the truck... Thanks for posting those valiant pictures Tom, i found them very useful for getting the door tops and lower c pillars into shape. Jake- at the moment I'm going with the kit engine, i don't see much point putting the correct slant 6 in if the hood will always be closed.. For those interested in a resin I believe there is another modeler working on the same thing and they intend to cast it, theirs looks very good...
  10. i would like to give sectioning a go one day..... looks like its a pretty good start, What are your plans for wheels, interior and colour? I cant wait to see more.
  11. Wow... what an idea, this looks awesome. You have great skills to get the impala and boat looking sooo perfect, this would make one hell of a 1:1 project...
  12. Nice work, the black stripes always look the best on silver...
  13. Usually i object to the "dropped" looking 60's cars, i don't think it looks that good... BUT this seems sooo right with the colour ,stance and rims it just all makes it perfect. I think it looks beautiful.

very nice, i built one that looked like this, almost the exact same colour..... Very nice indeed...
  15. I like it a lot, the colour just seems to be perfect for it. Nicely built.
  16. very nice pair, I very much like the base models of the 50's and the colours the 50's cars come in, very nice builds they both look great.
  17. More: Let me know what you think.
  18. Thanks Bruce. I got the red on, I found the unmasking process quite stressful as the white was almost perfect and i was afraid that red might have made it where it shouldn't have. The paint job came out good apart from a piece of dust that made it on to the passenger door but it is not that bad and with a paint job that looks this good its not worth the risk to attempt to fix and have the possibility of ruining it completely.. Here are the pics: The front badge is from a AMT 55 Bel air i think and i have a matching one for the rear, I re-chromed it with some BMF and carefully applied the paint using the tip of a hobby knife blade.
  19. Another nice looking build, what colour/colours do you have planned? I will be watching this closely.
  20. Its absolutely beautiful... I'm speechless....
  21. Nice, how did you find the quality of the resin body? I wouldn't mind getting a 67 wagon... Anyway it looks beautiful and the half down windows are very realistic looking. Nice work.
  22. I love the paint job, it looks very nice. I think the 50's cop cars are the coolest things and this has got to be one of the coolest I have seen, very nice work.
  23. Very nice, The colour is perfect for the car... I bet if you put the pedal to the metal it would really take off. Excellent looking Galaxie
  24. Stunning.... just absolutely stunning, the amount of detail it makes it look real. A truly beautiful build.
  25. Thanks everyone, it means a lot I believe there are a few kits that have similar tail light housings There is a AMT mercury with a set sa custom parts and another kit that has them... i cant think which one... Anyway here she is in gloss white: The rear wheels are off because of a misalignment issue... the whole rear axle sits more to one side and its was quite noticeable.. let me know what you think.
