  1. I would like to see this version that raced at Spa last year.
  2. The 24hrs of Spa is on tomorrow. It looks like it starts at 10:30 EST. You should be able to see it on the NISMO TV channel on Youtube.
  3. I would consider using the Fujimi body. The nose is to long on the Tamiya if you look at the real car.
  4. Very nice looking model Jonathan. I just read Mercedes is pulling out of DTM after 2018. I hope BMW does not follow suit. They are all great looking racecars.
  5. Try more thinner, less pressure.
  6. Of a new hosting service
  7. First of all put some soapy water down where the decal will go, it makes it easier to move around. When it is in the exact position you want use a wide soft brush do brush it down and get rid of bubbles. Then press the decal down with a hot damp cloth, it will conform and lay down instantly without the wrinkles you get from solvents. A hair dryer on a low setting will help also but keep it moving around.
  8. Nice job, I'm looking forward to building mine. I have the detail set. The antenna is really nice with the coiled bottom.
  9. Sometimes what is mathematically correct just does not look right in scale. Using reference pics use choose what looks right. Even Mr Tamiya said they changed some dimensions on there models because they just did not look right.
  10. Yes it was Scale Coachworks. I meant to say that but for some reason I typed Sale Productions.
  11. The Badger TC 910 Aspire airbrush compressor at AC Moore with a 50% coupon. This is the quietest compressor I ever heard. It comes with regulator and water trap.
  12. The decals are from Scale Productions 1/24 scale Porsche 935K3 resin kit.
  13. There a few companies that make some version of the wax based stuff. One is Rub'n Buff. It looks OK but it never seems to dry so I gave up on it.
  14. OOB except cloth tape seatbelts.
  15. Yes from everything I read.
  16. Getting started on the Belkits Ford Fiesta WRC. This kit is known to have problems with the tires interacting with the plastic so I covered the wheels with Bare Metal Foil before priming. I think I will also put a silver base coat down too. The instructions are from perfect and the half round pins on all the suspension struts are molded backwards. Over all the fit is good. The font suspension needed lowered a bit. The roll cage fits well in the body
  17. It's allot of work but I would mask and airbrush. If you use Tamiya Acrylic you fix mistakes with ammonia and a tooth pick.
  18. Here is a story how the number 7 Toyota lost the race Toyota loses again No matter how much spend test and practice. No matter how fast your car is, in a 24 hr race anything can happen you didn't plan for.
  19. What a race!! Congrats to Jackie Chan racing for almost winning in an LMP 2 car. Sad end for Corvette Racing.
  20. The 24 is this Saturday. The Toyotas locked out the front row in qualifying. The race starts at 9:00 AM EST
  21. Another problem is when it is burnished into place it gets as shiny as the regular foil.
  22. I would like to see this one kitted complete with foxtail.
  23. An interesting note about the engine, Mercedes said it will need a complete rebuild after 31,000 miles. You would think it would last a little longer at that price.
