  1. Thanks Michael, Rob and Fred. Fred thanks for the info.
  2. Thanks Mike and Tony.
  3. Thanks again everyone. Have a Merry Christmas and stay safe.
  4. Thanks guys.......I appreciate all of the great comments!
  5. I just finished this Revell 1970 Torino GT 429. Great kit with no fit issues to report. I did find the photo-etched parts a bit difficult to work with. Anyway, check it out and all comments welcomed.
  6. Thanks Cliff. Really appreciate all the kind words I have received on this build. :-)
  7. Very nice. I really like the four door version and rarely seen. Suits the Custom perfectly...just needs the six cylinder now!
  8. Better grab one or two!
  9. Thanks again everyone for all of the great comments.
  10. Thanks Radames. I thought I would show two competitors together, 1967 Camaro SS vs 1967 Mustang GT just for fun.
  11. Thanks everyone for the great comments in both "Under Glass" and "On the Workbench" forums. I forgot to mention that if you want to build the L78 option with the aluminum intake manifold 396ci 375hp you will need to order a set of Keith Marks decals as this kit only provides the 396ci 325hp decal. Here is the link to those decals. http://public.fotki.com/mofobow/chevy/corvette/6367_scripts_emblems/63to67_corvette_a.html
  12. Thanks guys for the great comments. Carl....I'm not sure why I didn't think about posting the finished pics in the "Under Glass" forum. They are posted over there now.
  13. A few more pics
  14. I never thought about posting my finished '67 Camaro SS in this forum, rather I posted the finished pics in the "On the Workbench" forum where I did the WIP. Well anyway I will post a few pics here for those who didn't see it in that forum. As I mentioned before, this kit was a joy to build and I only encountered a couple of fit issues. Carb needed to be sanded down a bit in order for the hood to fit down flush without hitting the air cleaner and the back wheels after installation were not centered in the wheel wells and needed to be moved forward. I just trimmed about 1/16th" of the front of both leaf springs and moved the whole assembly forward. The same will be needed for the drive shaft as well. Check out the pics when you get a chance.
  15. Very nice job indeed. Love the six cylinder with the dirty look!
  16. Looks awesome...great job!
  17. Okay....'67 Camaro SS 396 all finished a bit sooner than anticipated. Vacation time plus rainy weather sped things up a little. I wanted this one built without the rear spoiler since all of my Camaros have them. Overall this model was a joy to build. Great fitting kit except in two areas. I had to sand the carb down in order for the hood to fit down without striking the air cleaner and after installing the rear wheels I noticed that they were not centered within the wheel wells and were too close to the back edge of the wells. The front wheels were okay. It is an easy fix by trimming about 1/16th" of the front edge of both leaf springs and moving the whole assembly forward. The drive shaft will have to be shortened about the same. Anyway, here are few pics to check out and thanks for all of the great comments and informative input.
  18. I stripped the chrome plating off the hood louvers using easy off oven cleaner and spray painted them black and then dry brushed silver paint over the raised portion.
  19. Okay...I have been working on the tail light bezels and tail light lenses all day. Actually painting the black inside the bezels was much harder than originally anticipated. I painted the back side of the lenses silver so any excess black in the bottom of the bezel where the lenses sit would not show through.
  20. Thanks guys. Carl....yes I painted the center of the dash and the console free handed with brush silver paint. The door panels and knobs on the doors are BMF.
