  1. Very nice Mike. Great colour choice! Great engine detailing.
  2. Looks great Sean. Very nice detailing.
  3. Looks great Richard!
  4. Very nice Ken. I did the same kit in School Bus Yellow a few months ago. You're right...all of these modern Revell Mustangs have to be lowered to look realistic!
  5. Thanks guys on the great comments! Dave (Fury3) good to see you back contributing on the forum. My Dad had a 1970 Impala and I thought the wiper arms were silver on it so I should have guessed the '70 Monte would have been the same. I think I had a "lazy" moment.....best get the silver paint out!
  6. Thanks again everyone for the great comments!
  7. Very nice Carl. I have been thinking about building one of these.
  8. Thanks everyone. You are right about the grille protruding too far outward. The edge of the hood should be flush with the grille when looking at the car from the side. This is one of the many fit issues with this kit. There is no way of taking any material off the back of the grille in order to recess it a bit. The grille/bumper actually attaches/glues at the end of the bumper onto the front fender. Directly behind the grille there is no place on the body to attach it. Even the finished model on the box shows this defect.
  9. Thanks guys for the great comments!
  10. Had this kit sitting around for some time partially finished so I decided to get it done. Painted in MCW factory colour "Misty Turquoise" with Fireball Modelworks tire decals. Encountered a few fit issues particularly with the installation of the front bumper/grille. Also the red taillights had to be trimmed considerably in order to fit the bezels and the hood is not the greatest fit either. Had to get the 454ci decal for the air cleaner from my parts box since none came with the kit. Anyway, have a look a see what you think.
  11. These are my two 'Cudas. Painted in factory colours Limelight and Tor-Red
  12. Thanks Roger and Ron. Things like that really bug me and I just couldn't leave it that way. Feeling better now.
  13. Thanks guys on the great comments. Well I took some better pics of the Camaro today. I fixed the post late last night so I had to take indoor pics under poor lighting conditions. Check out my repaired post taken outside in the sun plus a couple of other angle pics.
  14. Thanks guys. I broke the post trying to fit the interior. For some reason this interior wouldn't fit up in tight enough to the top of the doors. I guess I got a little too aggressive with it. I built the Revell '69 Z/28 and didn't have that problem...not sure why this one was being stubborn. Anyway I got the putty and sandpaper out and managed to get the post looking a little better than the way it looked in the first pic I posted.
  15. Just finished this kit but did encounter a few fit issues with it and ended up breaking the driver's side "A" post. Fixed it as best as possible but it does detract from the overall appearance slightly. Not much you can do about it as these things do happen from time to time. Anyway, have a look and see what you think and thanks for checking her out.
  16. Thanks Tony and Jake. I'm thinking I might give this a headlight treatment and make it look more detailed. I saw a pretty impressive headlight job on another forum of this same car. I think I might be able to do it.
  17. Excellent restoration on an extremely rare kit. Simply amazing work!
  18. Well yeah.....you want to make it seem realistic!
  19. Yes you were right, sorry I misunderstood. I agree the 05 to 09 where the nicest.
  20. Very nice Peter!
  21. Thanks Tulio. I wouldn't really call the 2015 Mustang retro although it does retain a few styling cues from the older stangs.
  22. Only with there is nothing else to do!
  23. Thanks guys for all of your comments. Wayne I normally sand out the mold lines but didn't on this kit because it was a basic snap kit "build 'n play" and I figured it wasn't worth the effort. When Revell releases the detailed kit I will most definitely take the time to sand the mold lines out.
  24. This is the kit Ford Motor Company was handing out to the kids that went to the Detroit Auto Show in January. I knew it was lacking detail and was meant as a play car but also I knew it had accurate body lines and could be made to look like a fairly decent representation of the 1:1 car with a little work so I decided to build this quickie kit until Revell produced a more detailed kit in a year or so.
